This is a daytime event (e.g. starts late morning or early afternoon - see below for times).

UK's biggest free Pride parade and festival! Over 100,000 people in attendance for the past three events. Winner of numerous awards.

Parade kicks off sometime after 11am from Madeira Drive. One of the most colourful, fun and friendly spectacles of the summer season. The parade generally works it's way through town watched by crowds of thousands and takes about an hour and a half to walk up to Preston Park. Dressing up and costumes are very much encouraged - the more outrageous often the better! Most spectators join the end of the parade and walk up to Preston Park too.

Preston Park - the Pride festival - starts at 12 noon and goes on till 8pm. Previous events have seen a cabaret tent, womens tent, dog show, main stage, funfair and numerous beer tents competing for your attention. The main dance tent is normally hosted by the ubiquitous Wild Fruit and packs more people into a big tent than you woulda thought possible.

After the close of the festival, the party continues back in town round St James Street, and goes on through the night, which normally includes a couple of big club party nights as well as a late late beach party down at Black Rock and on into Sunday.

Outside of the big festivals, this is seriously one of the best days out you could have this summer. And it's all FREE (with the exception of the club nights).

Most importantly, this is a celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender identity. It's a wicked, attitude free zone where ALL are welcome - unless you bring bad attitude with you and then I'd invite ya to find another party today!
