SO HERE WE HAVE IT, THE DOORS RE OPEN TO THE CHURCH NIGHT CLUB, AFTER A ROCKY PAST AND REPUTATION WHO'S TO SAY WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN, WOULD THE PUNTERS COME BACK? OUR NEW PROMOTER (FIREFLY / CHARLY) IS HANDED THE CHURCH AND 10 DAYS TO GET AN OPENING NIGHT TOGETHER.



CHARLY WORKED HER BUTT OF TO PUT IT BLUNTLY, GATHERING THOSE AROUND HER, GETTING PUBLICITY TOGETHER AND BRINGING IN SOME OF OUR FINEST LOCAL TALENT IN BRIGHTON. (AS WELL AS GIVING THE INSIDE OF THE CLUB A GOOD OVERHAUL ASWELL). I ARRIVED JUST BEFORE 11PM TO A BUSLING UPSTAIRS MAIN ROOM, IT TOOK AN HOUR TO SAY ALL MY HELLO'S AND WARM HUGS TO THE PEEPS THERE, MANY FAMILIAR FACES AND SOME NEW ONES TO CREATED AN AWESOME ATMOSPHERE.

JIM BEAM WAS BEHIND THE DECKS MASHING IT UP WITH THE UP FOR IT PUNTERS GIVING IT BACK, NEXT UP WAS LOVEABLE DADDY OLD SCHOOL WITH HIS BOUNCY FUN MIX, THE ROOM ROCKED, MORE PEOPLE ARRIVED, THE CHURCH WAS AT THE BUSIEST I HAVE EVER SEEN IT.



THEN DEE TEE HIT THE DECK BELTING OUT SOME CROWD SINGING ANTHEMS BRINGING THE CROWD TOGETHER EVEN MORE, ARMS IN THE AIR, TOTAL BLISS.



I CAN HONESTLY SAY I NEVER HAD MY DOUBTS THAT CHARLY WOULD PULL A NIGHT OFF AT SUCH SHORT NOTICE, BUT I WONDERED WHAT THE REACTION WOULD BE TO THE RE OPENING OF A ONCE TROUBLED CLUB, BUT I NEED NOT HAVE WORRIED A BIT, IT WAS A FANTASTIC NIGHT, FANTASTIC ATMOSPHERE CHARLY YOU DID IT AGAIN, WELL DONE FROM US ALL.

FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT DIDNT MAKE THIS ONE, BE SURE TO GET THERE FOR THE NEXT, COME ON, IF YOU THINK YOUR HARDCORE ENOUGH!

Wicked stuff, we all know that The church has the potential to be one of the best venues around so good luck to Charly and the new owners after Saturday night I will definately be coming back ;-)

Wicked review Pam and thanx Charlie for all the effort u put in. Was def a night to remember. had a blast didnt stop stompin from the moment I got in to when deetee finally brought the night to a close. Thanx to all the DJ's and again special thanx to Charlie.

Really am gutted missing this - even more so as my experience of the club the following night was absolutely terrible - making me hate the place even more than I did before hand.
