Well as usual its me, just starting the discussion board which will rule my life until the actual event on 1st April...
Well LAB4 are back again to see the Hardsouth Crowd. They always play a storming live set and send everyone crazy hanging off the ceiling and generally climbing the walls to get a good view!
Since they last saw us they have been crowned "Best Live Act" in the second annual Hard Dance Awards for 2004 (Feb of this year)...
Another great one i expect!

Hey Kristi, and everyone else out there who normally would be discussing Hardsouth by now (where are you all?? Si, Dohnuts etc??)

Kandiking, his lady Tash and a couple of their friends and I did make it to Slinky on Friday. BK and Lab4 on the same bill so the crowd was pretty into it... Finished at 3am though, and no "one more!!" tune either which was a bit of a let down...

Did you see you're now one of the "most sexy people in Brighton" photos on the Brighton DSI page?? And about time too Kristi!! :-)

Can't remember much!), though did forget to say many congrats to you and your wife (erm NOT Tash!!!) on expecting your second kiddie - nice one man, bet you're well chuffed! Though don't think having an affair is a good idea bearing in mind your WIFE is pregnant with your second child!

I think I understand the lethargy - well from my point of view anyway - I normally tick the box when the actual even drops into display, but as it is b/hol w/end - there is a few more listed than usual - but - I'm now ticked and present.

just wondering if any of you have been to Slinky, and if so, what was it like? Unfortunately it looks as if I'll miss HardSouth in July/August when I'm coming over (am currently living abroad), so we're (me, bf and mates) considering going to Slinky instead. Is it true Slinky only is open til 3am?

Any tips would be useful, thanks!

Marie I was down at Slinky last Friday, BK and Lab4 on the same bill so the I thought the music was pretty damn good!! But yes, it ended at 3am. Also felt a little edge to the atmosphere, not as friendly as the Honey for Hardsouth, but that could have been due it being my first time down there.

Where are you living abroad? I might have to go and live in Madrid for work at some point in the next couple of months, already trying to persuade Nick into organising a Hardsouth Spain!!! :-)

BK and Lab4 sounds like a banging night - just the way I want it! We might give Slinky a go, I've heard it's meant to be really good, so hopefully the atmosphere you sensed was temporary. If anyone else has got ideas for other hard dance nights in Brighton and surrounding area - feel free to post suggestions here, or PM me.

I'm in Sweden finishing off my linguistics degree at a university here. A HardSouth Sweden would be fantastic - yes please and thank you! ;)

We're literally starved of good dance music up here (I'm in the North too, which makes it even worse), especially of the harder kind. Aren't we lucky to be able to return to Brighton for a good ol' sesh of HardSouth every now and again?

Madrid does sound nicer and warmer, I must admit. And you most definitely won't be starved of a good night life there!

Oh, another question: is there a dress code at Slinky?

have just had a brilliant idea for what to make to wear for hardsouth - all will be revealed (but not literally of course) on 1st April!!!
Also anyone got any good ideas its my birthday on the 21st april and so the 22nd (a friday) is looking like a good one to got out somewhere, but where??? brainwaves please!

No dress code at Slinky really Marie, though the guys have to keep their tops on... Which Kandiking found out to his dismay when we went coz he had to go back to the hotel, he hadn't even brought one to the club!!

The north of Sweden must be pretty dire in winter, almost 24hrs of darkness right?? Though you'll be in for 24hrs of light before long!!

Back to the clubbing side of things, if we all ask nicely enough Kristi might give us a clue to her costume... A.xx
