WHO ARE ‘MY DIGITAL ENEMY’
With more than 10 years experience in the music industry, and having racked up more dance floor destroyers than most, the trio that make up My Digital Enemy are set to explode onto every part of your dance community. 2007 is their year, and make no mistake about it!
My Digital Enemy are Harry Diamond, Sergei Hall & Kieron McTernan, all born and bred in Brighton, and geared up musically to a point that beggars belief. If we were to list their music achievements both here and abroad, you’d be flabbergasted.
HOW IT ALL STARTED
In 2003, when the hard house iron was piping hot, Kieron and Serg had been working on together such as ‘Project Mayhem’ and enjoyed releases across the hard house board! (Tidy Trax, Kaktai, Banging Tunes and Nukleuz are just a few) Harry had been producing with artists such as Nick Sentience, Richie Kayvan of Dogzilla, Jim Sullivan & CERN as well as many solo productions for labels that include the above and in addition Maelstrom, 5AM and Bonzai!
GLOBAL SUCCESS
Their first chart success as a trio came with a tune that’s still played today... ‘Cry Little Sister’ (I need you now) which was signed to ‘Incentive Records’ under the guise ‘The Lost Brothers’. It sampled the theme music from the movie ‘The Lost Boys’ and was a world-wide success, both on the radio (Judge Jules) and on the dance-floor. It was released in December 2003 and went to number 21 in the official UK charts.
If there were ever a more perfect definition of ‘versatile’ as far as producers go, then this trio fit the bill. ‘Falling Stars’ sampled the popular Boy Meets Girl track ‘Waiting for a Star to Fall’. Under the guise of ‘Sunset Strippers’, it received unprecedented club and radio support, and was released through Sony BMG and charted at number 3 in the UK nationals! It notched up over 20000 plays in the UK alone, and went on to be a world-wide hit with commercial success in Europe, Canada and Australia!
NOW AND NEXT
Always experimenting, the boys formed ‘My Digital Enemy’- Producers, DJs and Live performing artists! The first release under the hugely credible guise was ‘My Digital Enemy feat. Georgie Dennis – Runaway (Feel The Love)’ in May 2006. Runaway saw regular plays on Judge Jules Radio One show and also got support from Dave Pearce. It was released in May 2005 with Flash Brothers & Funkagenda remixes.
Release number 2 on ‘My Digital Enemy’ was the ‘Sordid You EP’ it took the label in a slightly different direction with three original club tracks which were embraced by many of the tastemaker DJ’s including Tall Paul and Judge Jules.
The success of the ‘My Digital Enemy’ label has spawned many remixes for labels such as Renaissance, Direction, Nebula, Fatfox, Bigstar, Mondo & most recently Skint. The Bleach Eating Pimps Remix for Fatfox was released in July 2006, and was a huge club success with support from Eddie Halliwell, reaching number 12 in the Buzz Chart.
The ‘My Digital Enemy’ remix of ‘Cult 45’ for Renaissance was released in October 2006. It achieved number four in the Buzz Chart, and has been licensed to Konami for use on their computer games.
The third ‘My Digital Enemy’ label release, due in December 2006 is the ‘Storm Breaks EP’, and even before it’s officially release sits comfortably at number 16 in the Cool Cuts chart.
Relentless in everything they do, their remix of the Damien J. Carter track ‘What World’, for Skint records is also due for publication in early 2007.
AND THERE’S MORE....
It’s a wonder the trio have time for anything else, but they do! Their ‘Machines Wielding Weapons’ project is quite simply...off the scale! TV shows such as CSI Miami, Punk’d, the movie ‘Its All Gone Pete Tong’, the X Box 360 game ‘Full Auto’ by Sega, a Rimmel advert featuring Kate Moss for the USA and Simon Cowell’s No. 1 US TV Show ‘Americas Got Talent’ have all licensed material from Machines Wielding Weapons.
Demand has called for a follow up their first Sunset Strippers single, and it’s ready to be unleashed. Stand by for early Christmas promos! Its release date is pencilled in for January 2007.
And finally.................not content with all of the above, the guys have started a new project called ‘Strange Days’ – snapped up by EMI no less for release next year.
There is no doubt Harry, Kieron and Serg are talented lads! The forecast for My Digital Enemy and their super monikers is extremely bright.
