turning up to find atleast 200 people cueing to get in, with all the types of hat you could imagine, with the strange theme seeming to be everywhere of st. patricks day hats and black fake bierds! straight away i new this night was going to go down a storm!
the first "hat-club" kicked the year of back in january on a cold wet saturday night, but as if this would stop the hardcore british ravers! this time however, the weather was on our side, cueing for about 20 minuets in a fairly mild march evening seemed alot more inviting than the cold wet one back in january.
once in, it was absoultly heaving with party people warming up to the banging warm up set of funky house from the legend vince frimpong till half eleven, when the guy, the uk has only ever seen once in its clubs all over the uk, choose The Zap Club to play his second ever set in the uk, it could only of been the one and only Camilo Franco (subliminal records) playing his classic Balearic Latin-Funky House!
With 10 years of experience, Camilo Franco is one of the best-known DJs in Spain. He was born in Colombia but emigrated to Spain and began his DJing career, when he was only 15 years old. Camilo is currently a resident DJ at new Pacha-Valencia where was spotted by Erick Morillo and got invited to play at 2 Subliminal parties at Pacha Ibiza in summer 2006. Camilo is one of the residents of the notorious party white island party called Balearic People at Space-Ibiza and also he plays regularly for the party We Love Sundays @ Space and also was part of the line up at the Space-Ibiza opening on June 4th.

then to round of a shit hot night of partying with our hats, james fitch tore up the decks with his shit hot funky electro tunes tearing up the dance floor to end one shit hot night clubbing.
James Fitch absolutely brought the house down at the last Hat-Club Brighton. James kept the crowd rocking till past 5am, and the dancefloor remained packed. It was the perfect ending to a fantastic night, with Hat-Clubbers swarming behind the decks having it !
Not many DJ¹s can claim to have played with legends like Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Bob Sinclair, Pete Tong and Eric Morillo more than once! During his 13 years behind the decks, James has developed a unique and exciting style playing real house music, from uplifting grooves to tuff, dirty, electro beats, keeping it fresh, and always funky.
It's not just behind the decks that Mr Fitch is creating attention, but on
the production scene too. He started out as Phillips & Fitch, with his 1st
track "Sex Lies & Cocaine lines" getting remix treatment from heavyweights Deux, quickly becoming an anthem on the Terrace at Amnesia in Ibiza.
The follow up "Pass the Funk" was snapped up by Illegal Beats and created tremors, hitting Radio 1 and the Ministry of Sound Big Tunes compilation amongst others. Now James has spread his wings producing with local Brightonian Ben Prok as Prok & Fitch. Their first production "The Chant" was snapped up by Roger Sanchez & his Stealth label after being an anthem in Pacha Ibiza over summer 06, it's due for release in Autumn 2007 with huge remixes!!
It doesn't stop there though as well as being in the studio with Guy Williams for a new production James has finished his 1st solo track "Perfect Motion" which is already gaining Radio 1 support and plays from the top boys!
im telling you guys look out for the next "hat-club" coming in the summer, its definatly a night out not to be missed! but what ever you do "DONT TALK ABOUT HAT- CLUB"
