Fresh from the success of the awesome March bash at basement 45, we're holding another of our quarterly shenanigans on the 23rd of June at Basement 45 and would love you to come and get involved!
Once again, we're slamming out tunes over two rooms with Room 1 focussing on the chunkiest House and Techno and Room 2 offering a progression from Hip Hop to D&B via Ghettofunk, Breaks and Wobbly Wrongness! All for the bargain price of £5.
Room 1: Chunky House and Techno
Alongside the block rocking beats of the mighty residents Riddle and Cornelius, we welcome back Empathy mastermind and Bristol legend Stuart Wilkinson. In addition, superstar in waiting Melski will be showcasing her considerable talent with some seriously good House and Techno.
Resident Room 2 filthmonger Rob Helps will be demonstrating his flexibility with an optimistic Superhouse set and Cardiff's Ritchie B will be bring matters to a close with his trademark driving Progressive House and Techno.
Room 2: Hip Hop, Ghettofunk, Breaks, D&B
Headlining Room 2 is the truly magnificent Hatchett aka Stewart MacLeod from Liverpool's Superfly and one half of Slung Low Radio.
Stewart has a truly enviable pedigree including sets at Glastonbury, Chibuku, Berlin, Ibiza and the Lake of Stars festival in addition to various residencies across Liverpool and Manchester playing alongside the likes of Stanton Warriors, Mylo, Cut la Roc, Splitloop and Freestylers. Gravy Leg will be opening the batting in Room 2 with a party hip hop set using nothing but the finest old school vinyl. Local legend Liam Cooper will be taking things up a notch showcasing his trademark wobbalicious Hip Hop and Ghettofunk.
In addition, we welcome back the awesome Si Macc. His wonky sets fusing Hip hop, breaks, D&B and Old School are fast becoming legendary and are worth the ticket price alone!
Finally bringing the Room 2 mayhem to a close is the D&B and Jungle of local hero Teddy G. Teddy nearly collapsed the tunnels with his epic bass at the March Whomp and will send you on your way with a grin on your face and your ears ringing!
