Empathy welcomes one of the biggest superstar Djs known on a global scale, yet Danny Howells has not played in Bristol since Renaissance at Café Blue in 1998, the club was rammed and it was incredible to see such a entertainer behind the decks,
Since his days as resident at Bedrock he has always been a target and finally we have our man. Everytime he plays he never disappoints his 12hr sets are legendary at his Dig Deeper nights in Amsterdam, London, LA and of course Miami which was also the destination for his recent jaw dropping Global Underground mix compilation.
Expect another amazing house/techno slagoff by Danny especially if hes had a few (bottles of) tequila’s.
Supporting the Mr Howells are the ever reliable residents, Jims been busy in the studio with plus a hectic dj schedule with a tour of Brazil and Australia in October. Stuart Wilkinson has been playing far and wide at the Bloom festival, Empathy in London and Day of Hugs festival in Portsmouth. Jay is also really busy working on his production’s plus his residency at Chicago.

Danny Howells - Biography
Danny Howells is that rare thing - a DJ that truly has a style of his own. With a passion for all music and infectious personality, Danny has created a unique, eclectic sound that has established him as one of the top DJ's in the world. In the 14 years since Danny first began Djing in Hastings, England, he has become truly international, and it's due to his hard work and dedication that he has featured in DJ Magazine's top 20 DJs in the world for the last six years running. He's played in the world's coolest clubs and held residencies at Bedrock, Twilo, Renaissance and New York's Arc, where his 10+ hour monthly sets became the stuff of legend.
It's not only in the clubs that Danny has made an impact - he has created a catalogue of mix compilations throughout the years, notably his own Nocturnal Frequencies series, as well as successful discs for Renaissance and vintage mixes for labels such as Jackpot. He has also mixed number 27 in Global Underground's series of world famous albums - "Miami". This was a logical progression as Danny had previously mixed acclaimed albums for both their Nu-Breed and 24/7 series.
In addition, he's also an accomplished producer and remixer. Together with production partner Dick Trevor, the pair have been responsible for many stand up tracks, including the timeless 'Persuasion/Repercussion' on Bedrock Records, 'Breathe' on Renaissance Records and 'Kinkyfunk' on Yoshitoshi. They also hit the charts in 2004 with their Miami hit 'Dusk till Dawn', which was released on C2 Records and featured the vocals of Erire
They have also recently remixed the Destiny's Child hit 'Soldier' as well as twiddling the knobs for the likes of Robbie Williams, David Morales, BT, Chakra and Ashtrax.
Danny has come a long way since his early beginnings, though his complete love of all music remains the same. Danny is a DJ with a broad musical taste who likes anything from jazz to rock, to funk and anything a bit bizarre. He likes to champion his own special tracks and records that nobody else has latched on to as opposed to playing the "hits", and has a way of combining cutting edge grooves with crowd pleasing dynamics that enable him to connect with his audience making him one of the hottest DJs in the world.
