A bit disapointed we didnt raise as much as we hoped.... But it was a great night!!
Well i was pretty disapointed to be fair with this event, as we had worked extreamley hard to promote this event since October last year, and as soon as Syndicate announced Slinky would be on the same night i knew we would be in trouble, and that we were.

Problems on the night - Obviously we lost Adam - Lab4 a few weeks ago due to his new comitments with Strike Artists, which ment he had to cancel our event, this was overcome by booking both Vinylgroover & Diablotrax Live PA.

Aswell as this Brian M & Mcbunn had to pull out due to them being double booked.

Scot fo Shaw had to cancel the night before due to his driver crashing the car, so he had no transport to the venue.

These blows on the way we took and overcome, and got on with the show - which i personally thought we had an amazing array of tallent in both rooms, all the DJs that played were amazing, the vibe was wkd, and everyone was having a blast. Me and Jamie lost of Virginity to the CDJs and that was the first time we have ever played out using them - and i thouroughly enjoyed it! If you caught our set your feedback would be great! We were on 1200-0100 in the Main Room.

Then as the night progressed, the numbers slowed down - we exspected this due to Slinky being on but we had a good few hundred people giving it there all!!

Then Kym went over to Slinky to round a few people up, ready for the After Party (Which was us!) Unfortunatley though, Syndicate did not inform the clubbers in their venue of this at all, as originally agreed, people were calling me asking when they were going to be given the VIP band that would allow them to come over to our venue for a reduced cost....

This was not done, according to people who came over at all, nor did they see collection buckets going around Syndicate, anywhere.

I am hugely dissapointed that this was the case, especially as our event was a 100% fundraiser for raising money to give Callum Kaye life saving treatment to overcome his battle with Cancer.

I am sure there are reasons as to "why" none of this was done.

This had major implications to our event, such that we were not at that time going to be able to cover the cost of the event with our current outgoings. This ment that the only way we would be able to try and send money to Callum and cover the costs of the night was to Cancel Lisa Pin Up at the last minute, and after talks within Nyce1 that was the action we had to take, and we are deeply sorry to anyone who did not get to see Lisa at this event.

Lisa was very supportive of the reasons, and was sadned by the decision we had to take.

But thankfully Kym Ayres stepped forward with Mich to play the last our - and i believe it was trully awsome set from both!! - And thankyou for stepping in and making better a bad situation!

We were expecting to have a near capacity club considering the line up we had - unfortunatley we had between 3 to 500 people who did make it a great night!

I would like to thank everybody who was involved/attended/contributed/donated/partyed at last nights event with out all of you last night would not of been the succsess it was despite us not reaching the amount of money we hoped to give Callum Kaye.

Thankyou to Simon for an amazing Light show, Dan for providing all the decor which was fab!
The Addicted Dancers for getting us all in the mood! All the DJs, the Diablo Crew for a wkd Live Set (Sorry about the power cut thing!) The doorstaff for being Friendly, firm and fair in their approach to their job.

The crew that went and flyered Slinky last night and took the collection buckets to help boost funds for Callums Appeal.

We will let you know exactly how much was raised as soon as Ian and his team confirm the totals we raised from Door entry, raffle tickets & the collection buckets.

We had 1 of the prizes donated back, The day in the Studio with Scott fo Shaw (the person who won was not intrested in this type of thing so if people would like to bid for this please do so in this page.

Otherwise thankyou to all of you!

Due to Bionic on May 10th @ Syndicate, we will be canceling our Return of the Big Bounce Night event, as i believe it would be suicide to run up against Syndicate again. We will update you as to when we will be back.

Thankyou to everyone who has supported us so far on our journey, if this was your first Nyce1 we hope you will be back!

All the best

Nyce1 Unleashed!

You can catch me and Jaime (Tuchet & Worm) playin at Hard INvasion this Saturday at Lakota with Andy Farley, Technical + More!! Hard Invasion we hope you will come and support us at this event!!

Keep up to date with all our bookings Tuchet & Worm's Barmey Army!! and join our group!!!

I for one had a great night, despite the whole smoke alarm/power cut at the end of my set/beginning of Diablo Trax PA! I thought you did a great job at the promotion and raising awareness of CALLUMS plight. Everyone I met seemed to be enjoying the night and despite the 'problems' experienced, money was still raised to help the appeal, which in my eyes is the important thing! Well done and thanks to Nick and the NYCE1 team, you can count me in for the next fundraiser as well!

I know Lisa was really excitd about playing and had already mentioned that the fee was of little or know concern to her as she was more interestd in helping the cause.

This came from Lisa as I walked them to their car after storm's 8th Birthday..
Hence the reason Lisa and Nick agreed that it was the best decission, I also know that Adam too was pretty gutted to be missing the event but Bills HAVE to be paid as does the mortgage..
NUFF SED

Was lovely to meet you to Kat loved the CD btw. Gonna re-do the one I passed out last night as I'm not happy with it so I'll post the link when it's done and you can all help yourself (saying that all 45 discs went very quickly)

I really enjoyed the Diablo Traxx Set thingy but I'm a bit confused about it?!

Is it a live dj set edit or do they play all their own tunes??

Glad you enjoyed it dude!!!

All our own stuff played live using a combo of Ableton Live 7, numerous VSTs, external keyboards, controllers and audio interfaces!!

We'll be putting the recording up for free download in the week once we get it all formatted to MP3....

A MEGA HUGE thanks to Nick for allowing Tyronnster and I to play in the Main Room rather than the upstairs with our Hardstyle set (not bad considering that was our first eer b2b set & all without any practise)....

what a set loved it :)

fuckin hell dude, very gutted for you since i know the amount of hard work you put into this events, aswell as wanting to raise money for such a good cause.

Cant believe that Syndi-Cunt would of booked a slinky event on the same nite as such a good for cause.

Obviously with them not doing any thing they said they would do, they just dont give a fuck about poor Callum who needs money for treatment. You can see that money is their only priority and as long as their happy thats all that matters.

Very sad imo!!!!

Stop there guys....Can we all remember that Lisa is a Tidy dj and it was them that would have been taking the fee. So can we please stop slating Lisa. She was there to support the event and draw as many peeps as poss. :-) xx

Here, here i agree, when we booked Lisa through Tidy Management, we were aware of the fee, and agreed to that fee that they offered us - so maybe if we knew Lisa personally she may well of done it for nothing - her cost etc are decided by her management agency and thats where the buck stops.

Lisa was absolutey gutted, that we had to come to this decision, and with regret aggred to turn around as this was best for the appeal - I do not want anyone to blame lisa regarding fees etc as this is an area that is out of her control - so if we can knock this part of the subject on the head it would be appriecated.

Other than that again im glad, and Happy that all of you there enjoyed the night, it was great, and i had a fab time, we were hoping to raise a few thousand but i think that is more near £800 mark, as i said as soon as The Callum Appeal team have counted out the buckets etc we will let you know!

Dean - that is funny as, and good to see you have not lost the animal in you!!! hahaha!

Other than that someone has picked up my CD Wallet (Camo White & Grey UDG) from the decks on Saturday night - please can you check to see if you have it and send it backl to me, i desperatly need it back as playing this saturday!!

And i have not backed up the cds i have!!

It was about 4 oclock when we spoke with Lisa, and i was at the desk on entry to tell people when they said about Lisa - and you are right people did understand the reasons behind that decision.
