A bit disapointed we didnt raise as much as we hoped.... But it was a great night!!
Well i was pretty disapointed to be fair with this event, as we had worked extreamley hard to promote this event since October last year, and as soon as Syndicate announced Slinky would be on the same night i knew we would be in trouble, and that we were.

Problems on the night - Obviously we lost Adam - Lab4 a few weeks ago due to his new comitments with Strike Artists, which ment he had to cancel our event, this was overcome by booking both Vinylgroover & Diablotrax Live PA.

Aswell as this Brian M & Mcbunn had to pull out due to them being double booked.

Scot fo Shaw had to cancel the night before due to his driver crashing the car, so he had no transport to the venue.

These blows on the way we took and overcome, and got on with the show - which i personally thought we had an amazing array of tallent in both rooms, all the DJs that played were amazing, the vibe was wkd, and everyone was having a blast. Me and Jamie lost of Virginity to the CDJs and that was the first time we have ever played out using them - and i thouroughly enjoyed it! If you caught our set your feedback would be great! We were on 1200-0100 in the Main Room.

Then as the night progressed, the numbers slowed down - we exspected this due to Slinky being on but we had a good few hundred people giving it there all!!

Then Kym went over to Slinky to round a few people up, ready for the After Party (Which was us!) Unfortunatley though, Syndicate did not inform the clubbers in their venue of this at all, as originally agreed, people were calling me asking when they were going to be given the VIP band that would allow them to come over to our venue for a reduced cost....

This was not done, according to people who came over at all, nor did they see collection buckets going around Syndicate, anywhere.

I am hugely dissapointed that this was the case, especially as our event was a 100% fundraiser for raising money to give Callum Kaye life saving treatment to overcome his battle with Cancer.

I am sure there are reasons as to "why" none of this was done.

This had major implications to our event, such that we were not at that time going to be able to cover the cost of the event with our current outgoings. This ment that the only way we would be able to try and send money to Callum and cover the costs of the night was to Cancel Lisa Pin Up at the last minute, and after talks within Nyce1 that was the action we had to take, and we are deeply sorry to anyone who did not get to see Lisa at this event.

Lisa was very supportive of the reasons, and was sadned by the decision we had to take.

But thankfully Kym Ayres stepped forward with Mich to play the last our - and i believe it was trully awsome set from both!! - And thankyou for stepping in and making better a bad situation!

We were expecting to have a near capacity club considering the line up we had - unfortunatley we had between 3 to 500 people who did make it a great night!

I would like to thank everybody who was involved/attended/contributed/donated/partyed at last nights event with out all of you last night would not of been the succsess it was despite us not reaching the amount of money we hoped to give Callum Kaye.

Thankyou to Simon for an amazing Light show, Dan for providing all the decor which was fab!
The Addicted Dancers for getting us all in the mood! All the DJs, the Diablo Crew for a wkd Live Set (Sorry about the power cut thing!) The doorstaff for being Friendly, firm and fair in their approach to their job.

The crew that went and flyered Slinky last night and took the collection buckets to help boost funds for Callums Appeal.

We will let you know exactly how much was raised as soon as Ian and his team confirm the totals we raised from Door entry, raffle tickets & the collection buckets.

We had 1 of the prizes donated back, The day in the Studio with Scott fo Shaw (the person who won was not intrested in this type of thing so if people would like to bid for this please do so in this page.

Otherwise thankyou to all of you!

Due to Bionic on May 10th @ Syndicate, we will be canceling our Return of the Big Bounce Night event, as i believe it would be suicide to run up against Syndicate again. We will update you as to when we will be back.

Thankyou to everyone who has supported us so far on our journey, if this was your first Nyce1 we hope you will be back!

All the best

Nyce1 Unleashed!

I was at Syndicate on Saturday night and between me and the other people i was with, we had about £30 to donate into these buckets. However when it got to about 2 o'clock and i hadn't seen a single bucket i asked a member of staff behind the bar where the buckets were. His response 'what you on about mate, there aint no buckets going round'.

Just shows Syndicate is ran by greedy dishonest wankers! Don't get me wrong they do put some fkin banging nights on, but to not even bother putting the 'charity collection buckets' around the club is disgusting.

I had a wicked night and know everyone i spoke to had a brill night.

When our lil crew went over to the Syndicate with flyers and Hayley donning her bucket with pride no one i spoke to knew of the night. We tried our best but most of the people coming out of there were half cut and quite rowdy.

The djs were brill - fair play to Kym Ayres for coming on for a another set - shit hot!! Was there start to end and loved every minute.

Nice 1 Nick and Jamie!! See you soon x

Really sorry to hear about this. From what i've heard from everyone who went it was a wicked night. I had intended to be there but have been ill with a chest infection and thought it best i got some rest. Cant believe that Syndicate were so heartless as to do what they did seeings as you had an agreement with them.

I understand your reasons for cancelling May 10th and fully support this.

If there is a site where we can donate money to the appeal please add it to the Totally 'Ardcore forum and we'll see if we can get a bit extra for the fund. I am certainly happy to donate some money for such a worthy appeal.

You guys are doing a great job for the scene. Big respect to you for all your hard work and will look forward to lots more Nyce1s in the future! xx

Hi Nick - I'll tell you something mate, you should be proper proud of all your work - I think I speak on behalf of all the team at DiabloTraxx when I say how impressed we were with everything you have done and are proud to have donated our services (and turntable!!) to this fantastic cause.

I genuinely don't think there was a single thing you could have done to promote better - you certainly seemed well on the ball, and I'd certainly say the numbers were pretty good TBH.

To have raised £800 for Callum's Appeal is something to be very proud of mate and I am sure it will be much appreciated by his family.

Well done dude and we'll have the recording of our PA online later this week!!!

Maybe you could have a chat with Syndicate mate to get the full story of both sides and then maybe come to an arrangement?

Maybe suggest to them that for the next fairly large event they have they could stick an extra £1 on the door entry and that would go to Callums Appeal? Maybe Brian M could help on this front with the Bionic night????

This was discussed before with the event that they just did, but was dismissed. £6 entry, is more appealing than £8 or £7

Anyway, it history now, we raised some money for Callum, Boosted the awarness of the Callum Appeal, put on a fat night, that by the sounds of things people really enjoyed... The rest is history!

Thanks for all the support, we will let you know when the next event is on, and we hope you and everyone you know attend!

Hello you lot. Ian here from Bobby's Fund (We run Callum's Appeal for his family). Some of came along on Saturday night and had a fucking wicked time. You all helped us raise £500 for Callum which is excellent considering the syndicunt thing. It's not just about the money tho. You all put a lot of positive energy Callums way and i'm sure you have all discussed his plight with friends and family, so are helping us spread the word. Well done all of you that turned up and showed your support, and thank you on behalf of all of us here at Callum's Appeal and Callum's family.
I would especially like to thank Nick and Jamie for all the hard work they put in to the night. Nick, you had to make a couple of hard decisions. I remember when you rang me when you first heard about syndicate and i still think ou made the right decision to hold the night regardless. You have a brilliant following at Nyce 1 and i truly beleive Karma will have something to say about the continued success of Syndicate.
A quick word in response to the whole fee 4 fundraiser thing. I'm involved in a lot of fundraising about the place and unfortunately if DJs, entertainers, security, venues etc were to offer freebies for fundraisers every night would become a fundraiser for some worthy cause or another. Lisa Pin-Up was going to add a fat share of her fee to the night, probably most of her cut after her management have taken their share. Thank you Kym for stepping in and sorting it out - banging last set!

Once agian thank you all and I hope to see you at the next Nyce 1.
