What a BLINDER - Bring on the next one, fantastic!
Well thats was it, there it was our first event of 2008, and what a cracker it was in our new venue - Blue Mountain....

The Atmosphere was wiked all night, and the Music was banging!! It was good to see everyone having a WKD time.

We hope you liked our new venue, I think we will look forward to some class events of the same caliber every time.

We hope you enjoyed our lighting rig we had hired in for both rooms - im sure you will agree both Lighting jocks (Simon Main Arena & Justin Hardcore Arena) done a fantastic job, and really made a diffrence to the event.

The club was busy, but not a busy as we were hoping due to Generator being on the same night, And thankyou to all the artists/staff who understood the problems we had when it came to paying out the wages at the end of the night - this is not something i would like to publically air, but these events a lot of hard work goes into every event from myself and Jamie - and despite promoting as best we can we took a substancial loss.

So please please please, if you like what we are doing, tell people and get them to the events. We need you to survive!

All that aside bring on the next event Saturday 12th April, same place only this time it starts at 9pm till 6am, and is a fundraiser event to get a lad dying of cancer the treatment he needs to live!

Lisa Pin Up will be playing at 11pm so dont miss it!

click on the event link and say your coming Callum Appeal Fundraiser Night with Nyce1 Unleashed & Friends, Feat Lisa Pin up, Kym Ayres, Vinylgroover + Many More.

Tickets will be £10 in ADVANCE available from all our usual outlets, Entry on the door will be £15.

Remember were contributing to raising £175k for his treatment, please come and show your support!

Thanks to everyone from last night, we will see you in April!

Nick & Jamie

So does hardcore though mate - hardcore is boring at the moment cos its all the same tunes being played out at every event - 50% breakdown and 50% stomping.

Hardhouse all the way!

Its funny you should say that as its very true all the old crowd come out for this night which is trully great as most of us have kids and jobs and family life which prevents us going out anymore these days. So its nice to catch up with the old lot and welcome the new crowds that are emerging!!

same old boom boom boom.... it goes no where nowadays!!

Nah i dont agree with that - if you were in the main room on sat you would of noticed the differing sounds. I heard hardhouse with a bit of bounce, your typical classics, more of the harder stuff - i even heard some hardhouse which had a bit of a psytrance beat to it!

Agreed on all counts.

To be fair it was more hard trance than hard house, so you dont get a lot of bounce in that. Thank god.

I could equally say that every time I ventured into the hardcore room all I could hear were hard trance tunes being played too fast. All sounded exactly the same to me.

It's whatever does it for ya init.

Just cos one style of music is more popular or more commercial than another doesnt make it better than any others.

you seem pretty confused there mate.

In one breathe your saying that all the music downstairs sounded the same and you didnt like it, then in the next breathe youre saying that hardcore is just a sped up version of what was being played downstairs and you do like that.

So basically you do like stuff that all sounds the same - as long as its played at hardcore speed.

Wicked.

This is making me have a good all giggle at work - i dont normally get involved but Jon FFS "What are you on about"!!

I think i can see what you are getting at but you contridict one thing with another! Hard House Hard Trance are 2 diffrent things, but in most circumstances can be mixed together, both types of music evolve from each other and apart from the way the beat / melodys / synths thats all that really seperate the two...

Lets get 1 thing straight - hardcore is comercialised to fuck, and when you get the likes of storm and whizz kid on daytime tv advertising mix cds then thats just milking the scene for every last drip!

But still everyone has to make a living eh!

Oh and as for the choons hard house / trance choons being originated from Hardcore - turn it in mate!

most hardcore / hard house / trance or any dance music for the fact, samples have been taken from an original Chart / rock / reggae / indie or film clip etc, and slapped up to anywhere from 140 to 188bpm... And if you are refering to that shit Darren styles "Save me" tune that he did for a hard trance remix then Fuck off!! We didnt want it anyway!
