same here, i watch threads and event posts, and the "im going" for events, and compared to last year the usage has dropped loads, and the posts in event threads have become almost non exsistant.....

A-I
I think a lot of it is because people don't seem to use the threads in the same way, a lot of people I speak to check the site for events but tend not to chat... Come on people, random bollocks ahoy!

I do too, but I also agree with the topic author. Nowadays I just get loads of spam in my inbox, and only once in a while a few good posts (mainly photoshoppin' heads ones and a few other ones). I'm missing chatting to randoms, thats how I've met some of my best mates (and I don't mean people to whom you just chat online).
Our little group is obviously an exception :)

I wonder whether it is really DSI losing its edge, or its just us losing our edge (going out less, and thus being less interested to participate in "who's going" threads, etc) and getting old and boring.
Although I think that facebook becoming immensly popular over the past 2 years has probably had its influence here.
And then we also have *cough*Americans*cough* *cough-cough* Damn pig flu!

our group Masterravers started on here in 2007 and our facebook page started 2 years later and we have the same amount of members on our facebook page, DSI seems to be more of a tool for promoters and DJ's rather than clubbers. DSI has lost it's sparkle.......but without it I feel we could not survive with our facebook and myspace pages alone.

I come on here fairly often, but tend to do most of my chatting on Facebook, although I do have the occasional banter on here, especially with some of the Americans, they are sooo funny lol Pretty much all the events I go to get to me twice via here and FB, but I wouldn't say DSI is finished, maybe just evolving into something else....

I think if DSI sorted the inbox system out and made it more like and email system it would be much more beneficial to both promoters and clubbers alike.

I dont read my inbox now because of the junk and no simple way to delete. If I was able to delete more easily it would be perfect.

Totally agree. You send a PM it should go into a personnal in box that only PMs or the like are kept in for each other. I cant understand why they use the system they do? Its shite
