Go out in Bristaol at intervals, and the last few times have headed for 54 on a Saturday night .....always found cool 'n' funky tunes, and cool 'n' funky people....all wrapped up in a nice class venue :-)

Went this week and was a little disappointed ...... tunes were getting to be a bit more commercial mainstream stuff :-(
and the comments about the strict door policy seem to have lapsed as there were a whole crowd of fellas in there dressed in al capone style hats etc ...... possibly a stag party ?? .... Don't mean to sound fussy but It just seemed to let the standard down somwewhat.

Was chatting to someone there who commented on the music (without me saying anything first) ....she thought the tunes were getting a bit cheesy too !!

Just trying to give some feedback guys ...... maybe sort the tunes out a little and it should be back 'on the boil'

Hi, Rich owner of Brownstone here - You're right we don't allow Fancy Dress and it won't happen again; I was not a happy bunny when I saw it ! With regards the music policy we are trying to get the right balance for all and I think it's very difficult to keep everyone happy but I will pass your comments on to Conroy & I do appreciate the feedback.

Dress codes have their purpose, I don't have an issue with them. What I can't quite understand why grown adults want to go out dressed in fancy dress??

Asked all of my fancy dress mates........They do it for fun. I dont see the point in wearing somthing that has been worn a thousand times by joe/joanna public. Makes my skin itch just thinking about it.

I agree Renny! I wouldn't personally wear something second hand so to speak but you can buy costumes from new! What's the point if you can't have a laugh...none! I appreciate that certain places would like to uphold a certain image etc, that's fair enough BUT there's no harm in people dressing up once in a while - perhaps it's a good sence of escapism for some.....I just thinks it's all about fun and the laughs - it'd be a VERY boring world without that. Live and let live!!!!!!!! :0)

I think I got the whole dressing up thing out of my system when I was 16/17 and was a cyber kid :$
