It’s flaming June at long last!! The temperature hit 24 degrees and we were at the wedding from hell!! Eagerly watching the clock we had decided not to be too rude (!) and started to make a move after the buffet! We said our good byes got out of there as fast as possible! and with a chicken drumstick in hand we made our way down the motorway to Weston super mare and to Q-Bic @ BS23.
As we arrived Kickback was on the decks playing a blinding mixed up old skool to new tunes set and I thought to my self ‘he’s back!’ with a vengeance and two new tunes of his own in his bag, he has the enthusiasm and the passion back as well as a big ole smile on his face!

By the time Dougal arrived the place was buzzing which is what you can expect in a party seaside town when the sun has been shining all day now if you throw in some hardcore and a room full of ravers then this is my recipe for a bloody good night!
With fugitive on the mic for his second to last set at Q-Bic, Dougal stepped up for his hour with tunes such as ‘skydiving ‘06’ and ‘all the tears I cried’ Dougal was defiantly giving a Q-Bic crowd pleaser of a set, by the looks of him he was having a damned good time with the biggest grin on his face as Fugi gave us his line of ‘do you see what I see’.

Up next was Bishop ‘the scratch miester’! with his effortless mixing and scratching to rival Sy! I know this is a BIG statement to make but it has to be said! It is so bloody good! With tunes that have become a Bishop signature ‘Elysium’ and ‘cry’ ending with a couple of banging tunes including ‘suck my dick’ the Q-Bic ressie still proves without a doubt why he was WW’05 winner and with two Southwest’s best MC’s Motion and Vandal by his side was defiantly one of the best sets of the night!

Up next was Reegz with the best set he has played here yet and another of my favourite sets of the night! and with MC Trigger on the mic making another appearance at Q-Bic, Reegz proved that his confidence and talent is growing immensely and with tunes such as ‘SMD3 remix’ and ‘set you free’ going on to ‘inspiration’ and ‘time bomb’ kept the floor full from start to finish, even Kickback got up for a boogie! And before we knew it, it was 3.30 and Reegz was finishing his set with ‘Outbusrt’s new tune ‘half a world’!

As we headed off on our journey home back up the M5, still buzzing and legs aching from dancing so much, another beautiful day was breaking, not that we’ll see much as we are off to bed!!
