Lost its license?

Went to the black swan on saturday for Twisted Toadstall... the afterparty was meant to be happening at Casablanca. However when we got there we were informed that it was now changed to castros because apparently Casablanca lost its licence on thurseday. Is this is license in general or just a license to hold afterpartys?
