Unity is the country's biggest collaborative party, established in 2005 as a goodwill protest against the lack of local promoters at Bristol's annual community festival.

The festival may now be no more but Unity continues as a celebration of the region's club culture, raising much-needed funds for local music-related charities. This year's profits will go to support the Basement Studio (www.basementstudio.co.uk) and the new Bristol Festival (www.thebristolfestival.org).

Above all though: it's a colossal party. Unity IV features more than 30 Bristol clubnights and countless, artists, DJs and VJs at the city's historic Lakota for a multi-room, multi-genre megarave.

I find that hard tp believe!!!

So do I!! Never been there as a clubber or a DJ. Was booked to play there a year or so a go but the promoter closed the room before I turned up as it was so quiet. Can't wait to finally have a look round one of Bristol's most infamous clubs though and what better night to do it than a charity event with Brizzol's best!
