If any club in the last decade can be credited with keeping the acid house mentality alive it has to be our favourite bug-eyed friends from Manchester. Their residency at The End gives southern-dwellers a chance to get a taste of the rather special Bugged Out! brand of madness. Even the biggest names in underground music seem chuffed to bits to play at Bugged Out! parties, and the artists genuinely enjoy themselves just as much as the clubbers. At Bugged Out!, DJ’s have the bollocks to play records they would never dare play anywhere else – and without exception they go down a storm! Rachel Stephens v Johny Cash v Akufen vs Kraftwerk? Bugged Out, the U.K’s long running primo alternative rave up, bring their club monster to Bristol for the very first time, and alongside Groove On, they have arranged a stellar bill. Bugged Out have proved enduring and influential and are now old enough to grow a nice moustache. Along the way they have booked artists like Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers, Green Velvet and Erol Alkan before they broke big and have recently put out compilations by Simian Mobile Disco and Klaxons. To Bristol they bring the wing commanders of everyone’s favourite odd pop band Hot Chip – Felix Martin and Al Doyle – who will be bringing their twisted take on techno to the party. Felix and Al have been responsible for some of the Chip’s amazing dancefloor remixes for Audion, Kraftwerk and Gorillaz as well as providing synths and guitars to the band (Al also plays in LCD Soundsystem’s live band) and they also record together as Lanark (their Stone That The Builder Rejected appeared on Hot Chip’s DJ Kicks).
Hot Chip join Get Physical and Dubsided don Jesse Rose and resident Jamie Anderson to help you jack your body all night long. We are also pleased to announce the very first live performance from Tom Neville’s new outfit Colouring In. Best Before and U.F.O etc. Don’t miss this very special party: Christmas comes early!
