Buoyancy will play host as Annie continues along her two-month-long, nationwide Annie Mac Presents tour with very special guests The Glimmers (K7/Fabric/Eskimo), Buraka Som Sistema (Modular/DJ Set From Portugal), Transformer (Live Electro Punk) + Much More Shadazzle.

Annie Mac was born and bred in Dublin to a family immersed in musicality before leaving home at 17 for Belfast, where she was bitten by the clubbing bug.
Inspired to purchase her first set of decks, she taught herself to mix using old funk and soul records bought from local charity shops. Now emerging as one of Radio 1's most popular specialist presenters, she currently hosts Annie Mac's Mash Up on Friday nights at 10pm, playing the cutting edge dance music she has become known for, as well as adding a more underground, indie flavour to proceedings.

The Glimmers are two peas from a rare breed of pod; both Benoelie and Mo are alight and burning with an enviable passion that so few people possess. It's the kind of zeal that keeps them enthusiastic about every gig, the kind of love that keeps them viewing their expansive 20-year career as nothing more than a paid hobby ("We are unemployed. We just play music.")

Buraka Som Sistema is dance music. It is the meeting point for Portuguese Lil'John and Riot with Angolan producer Conductor. Also from Angola is Petty, of which Lil'John remarks as having a voice which embodies the real Kuduro tradition. Another of the contributors to BSS is Kalaf, just about the most recognizable male voice of Portuguese modernity. Buraka Som Sistema are a mix between Kuduro and electronic music. One can perceive the Kuduro root but it's more complex in the harmonic section. The rhythmic section has different grooves, not always keeping the beat on a 4/4 vibe.

"Transformer aren't just one of the best dance bands in Brighton, they are one of the best in the country, filtering post-punk New York quirkiness through the sons-of-Daft Punk french electro scene.."
