Ed Real

Ed Real is one of the most influential people in dance music. Exceptional DJ, award winning promoter, businessman, media personality and producer – Ed Real has it all.

Ed’s passion and expertise behind the decks is impeccable and has seen him ripping up the dance floors of some of the UK’s top clubs including The Gallery, Godskitchen and Gatecrasher at the NEC. Ed excels in front of a big crowd and has made memorable performances at Glastonbury, Creamfields and Escape In the Park, he’s played at Dance Valley in Holland, and massive raves in South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Tokyo.

In his spare time Ed has taken his own club night Riot! from budding after hours Sunday club to being named Number One club in the UK by Mixmag. Held once a month London’s prestigious club The End – Riot! has played host to some of the biggest names in Extreme Dance such as Andy Farley, BK, Nick Sentience, Lisa Lashes, Yoji Biomehanika and Anne Savage.

In March 2005 Ed Real joined The Prodigy, Ritchie Hawtin and Adam Freeland on the Two Tribes tour of Australia and New Zealand. Having played some of the biggest events down under over the last two years inc. Mobile Home NYE with Tiesto, Summer Dayz, Adven Jah and Home in Sydney this was his biggest tour to date. With festivals such as Impulz and Q – Dance in Holland under his belt, this is no mean feat.

Spring 2006 and this year looks like the busiest yet. Having celebrated an awesome tour of Brazil through January and presented the Hard Dance Awards for the second year in February, the summer season is just around the corner! Ed has been booked to play at Gods Kitchen Global Gathering, Gods Kitchen Hi-Fi festival and Def Qon One festival in Holland. He’ll be making three trips to Ibiza to play at Tidy Euphoria and has requests for play in Canada, Dubai, Moscow and Japan in process for all the weekends in between!
