that was my 2nd night of whitby in a row! he is amazing never seen anyone work so hard consistently thru a set and put so much enthusiasm in, dunno how he does it...

never been to lakota before then, we couldnt find the electro room? to be fair am a bit retarded in finding my way around clubs, the first time went to thekla did not realise there was a main room thought it was just the bar at the top, lol.

The electro room was on the second floor. If you went up the stairs in the main room the electro room was on your right when you got to the top. Its a tiny little room though.

thats not exactly fair calling it shite if u dont really like hard house in general lol. each to their own tho innit!

Had a good nite all in all... Setience 1st hour wasnt really my cup of tea but he played some wicked tunes all in all... good interaction with the crowd too! I had gone off whitby lately due to loads of scouse, and putting a bounce baseline behind everything.. but he played some wicked classics & obviously kept his technique spot on as usual!!

Will definately be down again to this event soon!!

mate i went to loads of tidy boy events and witby events i loved it wen it was good! bouncy and stomping.2001-2004 sorry 2 say but 12 inch thumpers and cheeky tracks foowkin rule! hence y theres not a big crowd for it any more... hardcores the way now im afraid but like u said each to there own. hardhouse is just 2 plain and boring now.

is there such a thing as "hardhouse" anymore? think its mutated in this whole hard dance genre, must say the orginality has gone from it at the minute, with better sounds like psy trance and hard trance taking over, its refreshing to here whitby playing classics though as its easy to forget good tunes, would probably get rather boring though if every dj was playin those tunes every week.

yeh that is true i didnt listen to hard house from sorta 2001 round until 2006 saw lashes and was completely confused she was playing this weird hard trance (but not hard trance if that makes any sense), which i later found out was hard dance. i think pin-up is still quite hard housey all tho that is a particular type of hard house.

i like whitby but i think he is probably as far on the BPM as i can do, in that sense hes a good crossover between hardcore and harddance/house/whatever. i like hardcore but its too fast for me for a whole night, cant keep up!
