The Rippers return to what has become Bristol's finest underground venue with a blistering line up of underground acts playing trance, techno, acid, breakbeat, electro, dubstep and Ripsnorter classics over 3 rooms.
EAT STATIC are now confirmed headliners!!
On a personal note, Im stoked to announce that Neurodriver, the psychedelic breakbeat offshoot of Far Too Loud are confirmed for Motion on Friday...particularly as we had FTL booked for a live show at The Depot in June.
Neurodriver incorporate all my favourite elements of the FTL sound - tough breaks, crunchy basslines and squelchy psychedelia. If any of you are thinking 'but who the fuck are Far Too Loud???', they are THE pioneering psy-breaks act who do the now classic 'this is your sound system speaking...you are now under my control' track.
Check out their awesome new stuff at myspace.com and the other acts on their Broken Robot Record label.
We'll also be venturing into new musical territory this time with guests Sclist and Phaeleh from Urban Scrumping Records going deep ‘n’ dark into breaks & dubstep - follow the links on the www.ripsnorter.co.uk homepage for some dark & twisted breakbeats from Sclist and some quality cinematic dubstep from Phaeleh.
Then we’ve got newboy Van Houten, DJ Pod & the legendary Colinizer in The Tunnel (keepin’ the Bunker vibe alive!), and Gavin Quiet, Clare Large & the boy who does and is Eats Everything (Dan Pearce) out on The Terrace. And warming up for Eat Static, mixing up the techno, hard dance & psytrance is Jim Hedges from Bish-Bosh.
