This is an events page for a very special, one-off, charity, arts and performance based Mini-fest. Which, will be taking place at Motion, Bristol, on May12th, 10pm until 6am.
The event is being held in conjuction with FareShare South-West's "Feeding The 5000" event. This event will be happening on College Green, Bristol, at 1pm-5pm.
The arts and performance event is being organised by a newly created non-profit organisation called, Productions In Love.
The main aim of the organisation is to raise as much money as possible for any charity it feels needs the money. It is also set up to help raise awareness about issues, that not only affect us at home, but also problems that the whole World faces.
The charities that we are raising money for at this event, will be;
WaterAid (World) - is an international charity. There mission is to transform lives by improving access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation in the world's poorest communities.
Shelter(Uk) - is a housing and homelessness charity. They help people find and keep a home. They campaign for decent housing for all. Their work won’t stop until there’s a home for everyone.
FareShare(Uk) - fights hunger and food waste in the UK. They do this by rescuing surplus food that would otherwise go to waste and getting it to community projects that serve people in need. It's a simple idea that works. 35,000 people will eat FareShare food today.
Child Poverty Action Group(Uk) - is the leading charity campaigning for the abolition of poverty among children and young people in the UK and for the improvement of the lives of low-income families.
We hope you approve of our causes as they are very serious issues within society today and we feel they must be addressed, as well as many others of course.
Now, although we take a serious stance on helping to make a chance in the World, we also wish to be seen as a fun and approachable organisation at the same time.
That is why we are bringing you - A Moment of Madness ! (M.o.M)
This gig will incorporate many different aspects of the art and performance World, such as; Disc jockeys, microphone controllers, dancers, bands, circus performers, magicians, graffiti artists, designers, painters, sculptors and many more related performances.
The outright purpose of this event is to have a good time, whilst raising funds for people who are not as well off as you or I, at this current moment of time. People who just need an opportunity to get themselves where they want to be. To support themselves, and in many cases, their families as well.
The line-up for the event is a mixed one because we wish to reach out to as many hearts and minds as we possibly can...We see a mixture of sounds, purely as a mixture of souls, so this is what will be happening...
The sounds of some highly respected and established DJ's, as well as some big, up and coming names such as Koven and Eleven8, will be ringing in your ears throughout the night. Below is the line-up.
