As most of you will know, I only started work at Po Na Na last Monday! Over the course of my first week I was sweating a bit at what I could do for the all new Saturday night! How could I match '54' for music and reputation?!

I'd met with the Dj's, liked their pedigree and it all sounded good on paper, until I checked the listings page on various websites. The night was (for some reason) described as Funk, Soul and Deep House, which alramed me a bit to say the least!

I had the most refreshing night on Saturday for a long time, with Lee Pattison (deepgrove, Play, Fithly Gorgeous, MixMag Future Hero etc. etc.) dropping classic vocal house with a funky/ electro twist! It was the highlight of my week and I kept the door policy as tight as ever so there were no drunken idoits or big groups of lads in there!

It's made me ask myself why, on earth, is this night not promoted?!!

So, to kick start the campaign.. here I am. Not because its my job (!), but because I truly believe that this night is what most of you are looking for on a Saturday night. DSI has been a god-send to me throughout my time at Brownstone, and its about time the people of Bristol were told that Saturday at Po Na Na delivers entertainment on a par with Hed Kandi & Pukka Up, but on a Saturday when most people can come along! When all other Funky House nights seem to be closing or dying, this one is just about to kick off!

So instead of compromise, come see your dad.. I just hoipe that you guys get behind this one in the same way you've all supported me before!

worth going to, as the DJs are wicked and the door policy is genius.

Saturdays at Po Na NA have always been excellent, the line up sounds really refreshing so i'll have to pop up to one of those soon.

This does sound like a really good night and another option for a Saturday night. Po Na Na's has always been good, but the crowd can be some what trying at times...if you've got the door policy down to keeping out the idiots, I think the girls and I will be along very soon!!

Long time no speak to, or see! Glad to know you've taken over a new venue. I agree with Jo (hi babe x) that there's a change of scenary needed we're all so bored!
