We all know who the Blend Dj's (well nearly all!!) are but i thought you'd like to read the history behind them!!

Established in 1998 – the three DJs are mixing up a brilliant future.

They laid the first tracks of the sexiest house music around today in the back streets of Manchester. From grabbing gigs wherever they could – venues in lesser established towns like Preston, Newbury, Cheltenham and Swindon - they are now taking over the UK’s top night-spots on an increasingly regular basis.

A united obsession for music is their driving force and the boys from Blend are pushing themselves – and the boundaries of their music - relentlessly. They’ve built up a catalogue of weekly, monthly and and bi-annual residencies and get top-billing at dance events across Britain, and with the occasional foray abroad you’ll be hard pushed to miss them.

Building a potent following as they work alongside some of the most respected names in the industry (think Erick Morillo on NYE 2005 in Manchester, Jonathan Ulysses in Ibiza, Darren Emerson in Edinburgh, The Shapeshifters, Grant Nelson, MYNC and Harry Choo Choo Romero in London), and you will begin to develop a feeling of the level of experience they have built.

Blend are a phenomenon. The amount of energy brought to a Blend set has to be seen to be believed. As one lines up the next work-of-musical-art, the others build a killer atmosphere.

Blend are not just DJ’s - they are entertainers.

Danny Lagos, Beneecha Brown and Luka Banks made their Ibiza debut in 2005 as residents for pukkaup and this took their range to the next level. With invites back in summer 2006 for a variety of promotions, and their first appearance at the Miami Music Conference in 2007 just confirmed a spectrum of opportunities is now allowing their creativity to flourish. As the bookings continue to build, the passion of the members is spiraling, including the team taking their dreams into the studio.

Danny Lagos said: "I think we can only be limited by ourselves and the amount of work we put in. The way we DJ together comes purely from the amount of fun we’re having. The three of us were bored of going to clubs and seeing DJs with their heads down, paying no attention to the crowd who’d paid to see them. If the person behind the decks isn’t having a good time then why should the person on the dance floor? We will change that."

Dj’ing is their first love, and when you see Blend play live you can see it in the style, drama and excitement of their performances. They are something to behold, something to enjoy, and most importantly something to remember.
