LE K
Le K, aka Sylvain Garcia, 28 years old, is a musician/producer/dj from Perpignan, south of France.
He was first introduced to the music world when he was fourteen, when he decided to learn how to play guitar. He suddenly became engrossed with many endless listening sessions of recordings from artists of the sixties and the seventies: Frank Zappa, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Magma, Funkadelic, Led Zeppelin.Then, thanks to time and various personal experiences, he became influenced by more enigmatic and fresher musical territories such as the New York scene formed around the Knitting Factory, the Free jazz or even the underground Japanese music scene.
As a guitarist, he played with many bands from the South of France (Rock-fusion, blues-rock, afrobeat-electro-dub.) from 1994 until 2003.His growing interest for electronic music was sealed in 1995 when he was introduced to the Techno movement and its multiple gatherings in the south of France in which he took part. It was his first electroshock shortly followed by a second one when he became the happy owner of the legendary MS20 synthesizer by Korg. Soon after, he began to write short electrotechnofolk with a friend under the name of Caribousex.
After a few years (and few gigs too), at the dawn of 2004, he decided to lock himself up in his home studio in order to produce and write a music especially dedicated to dance, focussing on groove in the direct line of the weird, tormented, house and techno productions that he ussually affectionates (Ark, Matthew Herbert, Matthew Dear, Christian Vogel, Dave Aju, the Labels Circus Company, Boogizm, Spectral, Proptronix, Karat, Milles Plateaux, Palette…)
Since 2005, le K plays live, moment when the audience can attest of both his tremendous musical potential and his professional use of the stage.

As well as their monthly appearances at Dusk Till Dawn, they regularly play at nights in London and beyond, with a steadily increasing profile in the UK scene and releases on some of the most exciting underground labels around at the moment.

James Hurley has been DJing for over 11 years while sucessfully running Halo for the last 2 years which has seen the likes of Afrilounge, Dirt Crew & Layo & Bushwacka! grace the decks at Dojo & Clockwork. From there he has set up Halogen Nights on the first Friday of every month at SoHo, showcasing some of the most talented house and techno DJ/Producers from across the globe.
