Thanks to all of you party peeps out there that came to make The Ninja Hippies Halloween Event at The Mucky Duck the most memorable party to date. Both nights were rammed. Congratulations on some of your costumes. Please send pictures as we have still to choose who wins the ‘worst’ costume in the building!!! You guys were amazing. Big smiles, good attitude and high NRG!
Now for the dirty washing! Because Ninja Hippies is not just ‘US’ it also involves YOU we would like you all to know the ins and outs of running ‘the show’. I know that some things we promised you guys did not happen. Matt and I are NOT satisfied with the Production even though the feedback for this event has been nothing but positive.
We had to delegate various jobs…read below Ric was to organise the Art Exhibition an the Bar Area Dave was to deliver 16 Outdoor Shows on Friday 31st A few performers that I had hired myself never made an appearance, thanks…but never again! Stuart was to provide House Music Outdoors Saturday 1stt Mark was to run a subversive Cinema Saturday and Sunday Clive was to organise a 22 a side Football Match (only 1 team turned up and someone stole the fucking ball!!) LOL !!!
None of the above happened. Please feel free to contact me if you wanna complain for their lack of competence! You are welcome to their contact details. Some of the excuses are truly pathetic. It does not look good on us!
Saturday Night the weather made it dangerous for the Outdoor performances on stage but we had the Fabulous Freaky Vampire Show, Venus Noir and Zelma Du Noir doing walkabout Shows and to them we are truly grateful. They have promised us the Full Monty at our next event to make up for it, even though it was through no fault of their own.
And what happened to yas all Sunday Daytime you lightweights!? LOL!!! Lack of people to entertain and the torrential weather forced us to cancel Merv Pepler’s (Eat Static ) 2 hour Outdoor Set. He was well gutted. He loves the Bristol crowd and is looking forward to playing for us at our next event. Thanks Merv!!!
All in all it went well, lots of laughter fun and games and kick ass choons throughout!
Special thanks Mat V/Vagrant Misfit for his back breaking work doing everything, in amongst other things, conceiving and building the Hall of Mirror’s, rigging the electrics inside and out, setting up the soundsystem upstairs as well as the decorative lighting, helping build the geodome, building the stage outdoors, erecting the scaffolding extension outside, being the life and soul of the party and perhaps most importantly playing the kick ass 4 hour set in the main room on Saturday night-the feedback I have had for this has been overwhelming, he has been noted as being the “secret weapon of the Ninja Hippies” (atmosphere) and the best thing to hit the underground dancefloor since Infected Mushroom!
Big thank you to the Portsmouth Crew Narcosis/Psy-co they fucking ROCK! To all the volunteers Sean, Nicky, Lauren, Dan, Boo, Jessie, Mia, Tom, Josh, Lewis (the cake guy), plus others that are too numerous to mention. It was quite a challenge cleaning up the Mucky Duck. Our love and thanks to our Psychedelic Angels Shaney and Bernie for EVERYTHING! Clive for his kick ass rig in the main room and help throughout the weekend Simon for his light and laser show and help throughout the weekend (another trooper!) Pieter and Finn for all their support and good nrg! Eklektek,Tweek n Bleep and Masquerade Crew ( they turned up unlike some others ) Thanx to Donut, Kim, Little Jon and Little E for their ‘Stewarding’ Rhianna, Jon and Pinky at the door Nick for his contribution towards the party (best yet!) Gareth Kelvin and the posse from Psyanide for their good humour (we still chuckling) Scott and Ross (Psyanide) Dave for managing a show or 2 outside (thank fuck) To all the DJ’s that came ,played and added their good humour to it all. And a Big thanx to Aulday for the use of his pockets! Tee hee…don’t be mad…just laugh….
No thanks to Mel and Dion from the Black Swan from us……its been a nightmare working in this Venue. LOL
Come join us NYE Wed 31st December at Trinity where we will transforming the place into a Temple of Musical Mischief and Hedonistic Pleasures!!!
