Friday evening I finish work in Swansea & am absolutely devastated that I still can't find cover for Saturday. ALL WORK & NO PLAY MAKES CLAUDIA A DULL GIRL! So 7pm I head off to Revolution to drown my sorrows. With 14 drinks on the table, my good mate Vic & I begin what's supposed to be a quiet one. I ring Rag to tell him how gutted I am & hope all goes well. 8pm the table's clear & a pitcher is being ordered. Feeling a little tipsy I start to think, why don't I just get the first train home in the morning? Why didn't I think of that before? Something to do with the vodka pehaps? Fuck it, Bristol A'hoy! I mean come on, I didn't buy this skull'n'cross bones neckerchief for nothing. Rags recieves an amusing text informing him of my ingenious idea & the tedious, nothing to report, journey begins. Midnight strikes & I arrive at the Thekla. After plenty of hugs & smiles & I'm quickly adopted by Laura & Lorraine (what a pair of darlin's, mwuah!) who cart me upstairs for a dance. It's packed up there - hardly surprising - Dan Wild is playing an awesome set. It's up here I meet IainC, a talented spotter & damn nice guy! Downstairs next to catch a bit of Audiofly (they're a bit bloody woof) & the atmosphere is just electric. Everyone's made a pretty damn good effort with the fancy dress too - suddenly I feel a bit lame in my neckerchief! Then it's back upstairs to shake my arse to a bit of Mooch!n - it's still packed up there & all I can think is I'm so glad I came! As the night gets nearer the end I make a final trip downstairs to say farewell to the Thekla in true Play style - on the dancefloor going crazy to a truly perfect Deepgroove set. Grayson & Lee never disappoint & this is no exception. Bye bye dirty boat! But the night's not over yet, off to Dojo's for a messy afterhours! I spend most of it on the sofa outside being entertained by Shay & Nancy & talking Lee's head off (Sorry about that). The ice pops do the rounds, bloody lovely, & before I know it it's 6.45am, shit, my trains at 7.03am. So a quick dash round & say my Goodbyes - most people reply with 'You'll never make it, see you in 20 minutes'. I do make it & now I'm on the train all alone, the fatigue is starting to kick in. I almost throw some small children out the window but discover some earplugs at the bottom of my handbag, God bless British Airways. I arrive at work at 9am but don't have to open til 9.30am so decide to have a 'quick nap' on the sofa outside the changing rooms. I'm woken by a customer asking 'What time do you open, love?' Shit, I get up far too quickly & lose my balance but manage a quick glance at the clock, it's 10am, fuck. I'm praying the bosses haven't looked at the CCTV yet! And so the worst day I've ever had at work proceeds. At snails pace. It gets worse when the bloke I'm supposed to work with doesn't turn up, cunt, & it's only eased by the Mooch!n & Dirty Bue CD's I got given a few hours previous (Cheers Lee/Livell). But as 5.30pm draws nearer, I can feel my vital organs shutting down. I need my bed! After locking up & getting half way home I realise I've left the shutters open - I'm close to tears now! Around 6.30pm I crawl into bed & think was it really worth it? Of course it fucking was! Hand on heart, it was one of the best nights I've ever had! The whistles, always hilarious cross-dressing, being Rag's bitch for the night, drawing board at Dojo's, beautiful people, the ever consistent down right dirty tunes, an unbelieveable atmosphere... what more could we ask for? A raptuous applause for everyone involved! Looking forward to Play at a brand spanking new venue... :)

Yes mate Lee and I played the last set upstairs then went onto Dojo for the afterparty to play there too. Then went onto London to do a boat party and then a gig in Brixton. Man am i tired now!!!!
