Prominence returns on Sunday 26th August 2007 with another Bank Holiday party to remember at The Warehouse, Prince Street, Bristol....
Following on from the exceptional Bank Holiday events in May, Prominence provides a 14 hour clubbing marathon, incorporating 3 parties at 3 separate venues throughout the daytime, evening & wee hours of the morning of the 26th/27th...
The Funk Boat 5th Birthday Celebration gets this incredible evening underway in style at 6pm, providing the perfect build up for the main event itself. Funk Boat residents Luke Langson, Alex Clark & Will Bailey provide the same kind of soundtrack that has over the last 6 seasons lead to this becoming Bristol's most popular & recognisable boat party....
... and when the floating shannigans have been had, the party moves on at 10pm to the official after party and the main feature of the evening...
Prominence, at The Warehouse, featuring very special guest Kate Lawler (Sankeys), plus residents Luke Langson, Alex Clark & Will Bailey...
Kate Lawler Biog
Kate has rapidly become one of the most talked about females on the club scene, since learning to DJ in 2005. Her love for house music began 10 years ago, and was cemented when she decided to buy herself some decks and learn to mix almost 2 years ago.
Influenced by music from a very young age, Kate has played almost every style of dance music from Soulful House through to Minimal Techno. What really drives Kate now is a blend of upbeat electronic/electronic house, tech house and driving bouncy minimal music. Her sets are always energetic, driving and as most people know, she never fails to join in the party before and after! Kate has played at Privilage and Es Vive in Ibiza 2006, as well as Club Air, Tokyo, The Cross & Pacha in London and in January 2007, she began her new monthly residency at Sankeys in Manchester. Kate has also began playing reguarly for Londons best sunday morning party 'Breakfast @ Egg' with the likes of Phil Drummond & Paul Jackson. This year looks set to be even more of a success with her touring ibiza, dubai, greece and a possible tour of south america later in the year. Check myspace dates for where she'll be playing.
With so many people speculating what style she plays, and what her sets are like, Kate has decided to take a step (perhaps an early one) in to music production. "I want to put a track out so everyone can hear my style as a DJ. I didn't intend on getting in to the studio so quickly after learning to DJ but I'm working with a great producer and cant wait to get my sound out there". May has been the month she did this, you can hear her very own remix of Goldrixx featuring Andrea Brown's "It's Love (Trippin)" on her myspace music player.
Kate comes to Bristol for only the second time in her career and showcases the sometimes under-estimated talent that's seen her guest all over the UK, as well as land an auspicious residency at the world famous Sankeys nightclub in Manchester....
... and joining her will be Prominence/Electroquisite residents Luke Langson, Alex Clark & the huge electro-house production talent Will Bailey, guaranteeing some of the most absorbing music you could wish for...
... And if that wasn't enough, to finish the night, and all of you off, Twisted 'After Hours' present a bank holiday special from 3.30am, with residents Luke Langson, Mark Davis & Clinton Brown, being joined by special local guests, taking you through until 8am...
Wow!!!
Question is..... have you got the legs for it??
