After 2 & a half years, during which time we've presented first time performances in the city by world class acts such as Michael Gray, Dave Spoon, Tocadisco, Funkagenda & Ian Carey, Prominence presents it's last ever monthly event on Saturday 29th November 2008...

Since our first party at Club Cuba back in June 2006, there has been many nights that will live long in the memory for both us and many others. However, at a stage when clubland is rapidly changing, we've reluctantly decided that the time has come to concentrate our efforts on new projects starting in 2009...

... Time will of course reveal all... However, before we get too far ahead of ourselves, let's not forget that before the curtain falls for the lastl time, there's one final party to be had... and what a party it's set be...

For those of us old enough to have been in clubland since the mid 90's, it's fair to say that there aren't too many DJ's continuing pulling in the punters worldwide, week after week, whilst still at the top of their game...

However, one such name that immediately springs to mind is an act who, throughout his 16 years plus at the head of the scene, has not just been the only DJ to have held a residency at 2 of the world's biggest clubbing brands, both Cream and Ministry of Sound, but can also count a 4 year BBC Radio 1 Saturday night residency under his belt, as well as being behind one of London's most successful clubnights in Type...

A special night deserves a special headline act and so, making his first Bristol appearance in over 2 & a half years, it gives us immense pleasure to present a true house legend and still one of the biggest names around, to help us bow out in style...

SEB FONTAINE (Type)

Joining Seb for this final event will be Sir G alongside Prominence promoters & residents Luke Langson and Alex Clark, for whom the night of course holds special meaning... It's fair to say that both Luke & Alex will always remember certain Prominence events, particularly from our time at the Warehouse, as some of the best parties we've ever put on, and we'd love one more to keep in the memory...

Doors open at 10pm, with the night running through until 6am. Entry to this event is just £8 before 12am, £10 after, with NUS/Concessions at £8 ALL NIGHT. Advance tickets will not be available and therefore we recommend you arrive early to take advatage of the discounted entry price.

For those of you who have enjoyed any of the Prominence events during the last 2 & a half years, it would be fantastic to see you there as we bring things to a close... This really is your last chance to dance, and we'd love to go out in style with all our friends there to wave us off...
