Bristol’s music scene would not be the same if it wasn’t for 2 highly respected leaders, Hope Recordings based in the City for nearly 10years has been a formidable force, pushing local acts such as WayOutWest, Starecase and General Midi, with their off shoot label 4;20 Recordings and Marine Parade, so when they join forces with Bristols leading house night yet again its going to be one fat party.
Empathy and Hope have been working together for a number of years this being the 4th Christmas bash, with the infamous boat parties and the Loop parties at Blue Mountain in 2002. This year is gonna be just as good if not better than any of our past collaborations, we thrive on giving you massive Djs in small intimate surroundings, with Timo Maas and Locodice at Bar Latino or Mr C and Nick Warren at Arc or Hyper and Parralel Sound at Latino also. This year it’s the turn of Renaissance veteran Dave Seaman, with his new Therapy Session 3 compilation out around now so now is the time to catch him. Also in the main room we welcome 16Bit Lolitas from Holland appearing in Bristol for the first time ever, they have recently been signed to Hope and have been championed by artists such as Sander Kleinenberg, Mathew Dekay and Nick Warren. Headlining room2 is no other than the man that has been responsible for some of the finest classic tracks ever produced, one half of WayOutWest with Nick Warren Jody Wisternoff.
In support in the main room is Hope management guru Matt Rickard plus Empathy head honcho and resident Stuart Wilkinson.
In support in room2 is no other than Empathy resident and producer extraordinaire Jim Rivers, its been a remarkable year for the young lad with a EP out on SAW plus various other labels expect even bigger things from him in 2007. In room 2 also is the unstoppable Jay Russell the Empathy and Chicago resident has a belly bigger than a Texan we salute you!
Dave Seaman Biography
Dave Seaman is one of the original pioneers of house music. He has been DJing for over 25 years, was the first editor of the clubbers bible, Mixmag, and has remixed and produced for everybody from U2 to Kylie and David Bowie to the Pet Shop Boys. He has also done over 20 mix compilations for the likes of Global Underground and Renaissance, been the main man behind the independent dance music labels, Stress Records and Audio Therapy and still found time to model for Levi's in Japan, present TV programmes for the BBC and tour the world probably more than any other DJ.

16 Bit Lolitas Biography
The 16 Bit Lolita's are Ariaan Olieroock & Peter Kriek. Both chess grandmasters with a rating that would place both of them in the top ten worldwide. It is rumored that Ariaan & Peter were called in by IBM just before the Deep Blue versus Kasparov fight because Deep Blue had broken down. So they took up the challenge of pretending to be a computer program and playing against the world champion chess at the same time. Of course we all know the result. It ended up being quite a big embarrasment for the world champion, whilst Peter and Aad were deliberately not even playing at their full strength not to break too much of the ego of the world champion. Needless to say their chessplaying ability is legendary already.
Three years ago they decided to start focusing on dance music, having already achieved everything in the world of chess. So they left the world of chess behind and started making dance music for the clubbing several. Now, 2006, the Lolita's have established themselves as dance grandmasters and are able to checkmate dance crowds all over the world with their music.
Jody Wisternoff Biography
Jody's biog is deceptive, as he's achieved so much in a short space of time. Selling over 100,000 albums and delivering a Top 40 hit with his band Way Out West would be enough for most people. Yet along side their 3 Albums, countless remixes and production duties on everyone from the astonishingly cool (James Holden, Echo & The Bunnymen, The Orb, Roni Size) to the ridiculous (Natalie Imbruglia) Jody has managed to create music that not only elevates every dance floor but has also been used heavily in film and TV,(The OC, CSI, Grey's). 2004/2005 also saw a world tour on their own and sharing billing with Faithless and festival slots for Radio 1 at Glastonbury, Creamfields Prague, Creamfields UK and Argentina. Jody's sound has been his global meal ticket. But let's rewind a little to before all that happened he'd already won the DMC Mixing championship regional heats at the criminally young age of 15, torn every rave apart in the early 90s as Sub Love with Full Cycle's DJ Die and djed at most clubs Worldwide worth djing at then got the band together by the time he was twenty and on single three tore up the airwaves and the TOTP studio with partner Nick Warren on their big hot "The Gift". Right now, in between Way Out west albums he is producing solo works (first single "Cold Drink, Hot Girl" is coming out on Distinctive, picked up his djing habit again and is off to LA to start scoring tv shows for real.
