DEVOLUTION
Devolution DJ’s
The Techie progressive sound of Devolution is grabbing London’s underground scene by the jugular at the moment. Ever since their first party in 2004 in Soho’s notorious Sun and 13 Cantons early home to the likes of Carl Cox and Mr C, their following has grown in dramatic terms. Leading to a residency last year at South London’s infamous Inigo Club.
This has all been achieved whilst continuing to host their regular ‘shindigs’ and make regular appearances on various London radio stations.
So who are the Devolution DJ’s?
“It’s basically just the two of us”, said Pete, referring to his partner in crime James.
“I had just returned from playing for 6 Months over in the States at Spundea and a night called Nitro in Denver. I basically came back because I missed England so much. It was then I met James at a party in London. And things have just gone from there.”
“Yeah, it was all quite random really, we agreed we should link up and have a mix some time, and we did” James throws in. “When we put on the first Devolution night in Soho, we agreed we should continue the story in the studio and put something down”
James already had the know how having studied music technology and with connections from his early days playing at the Eukatech parties in and around London, it only helped the Duo get the breaks they deserved.
Devolution are currently working hard to make sure that 2006 is a good year. Already the boys have chipped in to help London based charities offering their skills to Give it Up!.
Other work in progress includes adding the finishing touches to their debut EP that it set to hit outlets in July. And if the energy and diversity of their sets are anything to go by....it promises to be a good one.
And better still they can’t wait to entertain a Bristol Crowd….
FUCHA ELEKTRONIKZ
Fucha Elektronikz are amongst todays hottest up and coming DJs& Producers.
_Fucha Elektronikz formed in the summer of 2002 after Ed Curtin and James Davis formed a friendship based on excessive lust for the Stoke on Trent club scene and most of all for a shared interest in Electronica and Dj'ing. Joined at the hip through a burning desire for partying and dance music it wasnt long before two became three when Ed's younger brother Charlie Curtin got in on the act......With over 8 years experiance of Dj'ing individually the trio seemed to have found the perfect formula for an instictive yet memorble set...Early Influences include Sasha, Underworld, BT and Carl Cox. Each of whom inspired Fucha Elektronikz to develop thier love for dance music into a life-long passion.
_Fucha Elektronikz have rocked a wide variety of clubs around the U.K . Starting out in Ashbourne a picturesque town in Derbyshire, Fucha Electronikz made their intentions clear very early on after their display of energising house music turned a small town Bar into a thriveing dance music venue ! This residency inspired Fucha Elektronikz to form an eternal partnership and devotion to innovative dance music. This devastating partnership continued to thrive , even the burdon of a 200 mile distance between the trio couldn't prevent them from this extraordinary bond and electic partnership.
_Fucha Elektronikz like to cover a wide spectrum of tunes in their set, going from melodic breaks to electronic beats ,you never really know what is going to come next until it hits you. With the sounds of the most freshest cuts and sinsilating rythms this provides an emphatic journey in which each member of the dancefloor enjoys in thier own unique and mind altering manner. Their sets cannot be specified under one specific genre, they like to cover a mass of cross genres enticed in bringing their audience a plethera of underground progressive house, techno, electro, acid and whatever suites the moment, all through the focus and context of a house set. Over the years they have developed their own individual technical abilites comprimising to an emotional climax with emphatic results. To add to the experiance the inclusion of the odd classic entitles the dance music connoseurs out there to re-live the memories of times gone by.
_Fucha Elektronikz do not just express their love for music by djing, Fucha Elektronikz are also accomplished producers with over 6 years of experiance behind thier belts. Starting off with programs like Music for the Sony Playstation & Fruity loops, they soon progressed onto Reason and Logic. With a wealth of technology available to them and the advances in Pro- Tools and Logic this combination seemed to be the programme of choice.
_Using the latest technologies and breaking the boundaries of conventional production Fucha Elektronikz have created their own abrasive yet atmouspheric sound.Captureing a wide range elements and experimenting with the most ephatic electronic rhythms they create a sound that is almost 3-dimensional ! To implement that 3rd dimesion into thier live sets the release of Ableton Live entitled Fucha Elektronikz to captivate the unrestrained assaults and mind altering manifestos sure occur during a night featuring Fucha Elektronikz.
