The Electroquisite 2007 'Neon Series' continues on Saturday 12th May as we return to the subterranean surrounds of Bristol's best venue Timbuk2 for our monthly residency.
Picking up where we left off in April, we proceed with the 4th of 10 colour-coded events throughout 2007, showcasing some of the most exciting, influential & talked about Dj's, artists & producers from across the Globe.
For the 4th event of the series, ORANGE, it gives us great pleasure to welcome to the UK one of the most exciting breakthrough electro-house artists of 2006, flying in from Zurich to make his Bristol debut, DANNY FREAKAZOID.
At a mere 20 years old, life over the last 18 months has appeared a bit of a whirlwind for this young Swiss prodigy.
Support from the likes of Deep Dish, Nic Fancuilli & Sander Kleinenberg for his debut production works, "Discount" & "Teken" have catapulted him to the forefront of the electro-house scene, and brought him to the attention of major labels including 'Toolroom Records' and the fast rising innovative young label 'Cr2'.
Indeed, the latter were the first to react once they had realised his potential, snapping up the boy genius before anyone else had the opportunity.
Since then, a string of discerning productions including the aptly named "You Are the Leading Man", and the current smash collaboration with Elvis Benait "Tension" under their guise 'The Freakx Brothers', alongside a host of sublime remixes such as K3's "Play to Win" and MYNC Project's "R U Sure", have made sure he's still the name on everyones' lips in 2007.
Jetting into Bristol for the very first time, Danny brings his unique blend of electro-tinged bass and huge haunting riffs for what promises to be a very special night...
Joining Danny in Room 1 will be Electroquisite residents WILL BAILEY, ALEX CLARK & LUKE LANGSON.
Will Bailey is himself one of the most talked about breakthrough artists of the year. Just back from a mini-tour of Brazil, it seems the whole of England are clambering to get a piece of this young Brummie, whose productions, remixes & jawdropping technical skills behind the decks have paved the way for huge bookings at the likes of 'The Cross', 'Sankeys' and even the legendary Terrazza at Space, Ibiza.
With airplay on Radio 1 by the likes of the Trophies, Eddie Halliwell & Judge Jules becoming a bit of a regular occurance, his own productions like the fantastic "One", the Switch-esq "Krusher", and most notably "Freak" have become international cult underground smashes; a fact that has been recognised by the biggest in the business, culminating in the recent release of his very own remix of Mark Knight & Richard Dinsdale's "Crush" on Mark's own internationally renowned label Toolroom.
Will takes up his monthly residency alongside special guest Danny for what promises to be an unmissable night for all electro & tech house lovers.
Room 2 provides some funky variation, courtesy of former Vibe FM host Nathan Thomson, who joins Room 2 resident Andy Kelly and Saturated's Dave Carter.
