SWITCH club night launch party at Timbuk2

Switch will be bringing you great music diversity between two rooms of the awesome Timbuk2 club each month. The main room will be pumping out cutting edge Tech House, Techno and Electro, while room2 will be for people who like it a little more funky with anything from retro Hip-Hop, Breaks and hacienda style house music. Expect Local, national and international talent in both rooms.

Our first night kicks off by welcoming a dj’ing duo from the big smoke who’s dj sets have earned them the loyalty of an enthusiastic following in the capital. Their affluent blend of energetic tech house and passionate enthusiasm for serious party music has quite deservedly seen them appear recently on several dates at the Ministry of Sound, London's famous Cross night club, various venues in Europe and, most notably, at John Digweed's Bedrock night, we welcome in room1 Ben Clarke and francis mallinson.

Room1>>
BEN CLARKE (Chez Nous/Twisted Melon)
FRANCIS MALLINSON (Chez Nous/Twisted Melon)
CREDIBLE (Buoyancy)

Room2>>
SIR BEANS OBE (Local Hip-Hop Legend)
JON KENNEDY (Grand Central records)
AWON (Monsterpiece)
DARREN OH (Monsterpiece)

Also in room1 is one of Buoyancy’s well respected residents - Credible. No stranger to the Bristol clubbing scene Credible has warmed up for the long list of excellent guest djs, as well as running E-shed for six years before moving on to help establish Native. Also the promoter for the System club-night as well as Running Bristol music & culture magazine ‘Porn Mag’.

Jon Kennedys music came to light when he was twenty four and Mr Scruff played his track Tell Me How You Feel on the Unfold radio show in Brighton, Tru Thoughts Recordings snapped him up straight away. He released three 12s and in 2000 his debut album Were Just Waiting For You Now came out.

Two years later.......... he was snapped up by GRAND CENTRAL RECORDS. This time Aim, who was a fan of Jons 'Chocolate and Cheese'.track approached him to remix the largest single from the label to date from Grand Centrals discography The Girl Who Fell Through The Ice. Now playing the world over, Jon joins us at Switch to rock room2

Also in room2 an artist that needs no introduction – Local Hip-Hop Legend Sir Beans OBE
