The Electroquisite 2007 'Neon Series' continues on Saturday 8th September as we return once more to the subterranean surrounds of Bristol's best underground nightclub Timbuk2 for our monthly residency.

It's hard to believe that we're now over three quaters of the way through the year... however, we're delighted to have the fortune of being able to look back on the array of truly remarkable & memorable events that have lead us to this point.

For this, the 8th event of the series, AMBER, we have great pleasure in welcoming back to Bristol one of the most forward thinking production artists to have emerged in the UK over the last 3 years... LUKE DZIERZEK (Fling Music/Renaissance).

Biography

Luke Dzierzek is a name that has made a massive impact on electronic music during the past 24 months. The presence of huge basslines, groovy-as-hell rhythms and massive stabs in his productions have lead to a list that boasts admirers such as the likes of Sasha, James Zabiela, John Digweed, Nic Fanciulli and Tom Middleton. The forward thinking displayed in his work has gained many followers the world over and resulted in Luke being celebrated as one of the planet's finest up-and-coming talents....

Tracks such as 'Timeless', 'One Day' and 'Echo' (the latter presently featuring on the current Citreon ad) received acclaim from clubbers and music journalists alike, featuring at the top of numerous charts as well as receiving support from the likes of Tiga, Paul van Dyk and Pete tong.

His reworkings for artists like Minilogue, Suicide Sports Club, Spencer Parker & Chris Lake were huge underground hits, with many going on to be included on mix compilations all over the globe.

In June of 2006, Luke released the acclaimed 'Randoms & Wrongens' EP, co-produced with friend & fellow rising star Nick Liousias. The EP received major DJ support, hitting the No.1 spot in numerous charts, and became the biggest selling release on the much respected 'Silver Planet' label that year.

More recently, Luke has been spreading his wings; causing as much devastation behind the decks, as in the studio. His ability to read the crowd and rock the clubs have gained him huge respect all over the world. Gigs have come in thick and fast, with Luke taking in 3 separate tours of Brazil and a tour of Mexico, as well as various bookings all over the world at high profile nights such as at Ministry Of Sound in Singapore, Fast Forward in Croatia, Ambassada Gavioli in Slovenia, Stereo in Greece, and both the Paradise Garage & Kubik in Portugal.

Back in the UK, Luke has made massive waves following regular appearances at The Gallery at Turnmills, Ministry Of Sound for Club Class, and Renaissance at The Cross, as well as his own event Fling at The Loft in Maidstone...

During 2007, Luke's profile has increased even more following the huge remix of Marcella's ‘Stabbing Sally’ , and the aforementioned ‘Echo’ chosen by Citroen to feature on their massive Summer advertising campaign, in turn leading to the huge MoS label snapping it up...

... and if that wasn’t enough, Luke recently launched his own 'Fling' record label and club night, encompassing driving house, techno, minimal and electonic influences. With major support already coming in the form of luminaries such as Pete Tong, Sasha, John Digweed, James Zabiela, Sander Klienenberg, Nic Fanciulli, Steve Lawler, Hernan Cattaneo, and John Aquiviva amongst many more, it seems the world hasn't seen a fraction of what we can expect to see from Luke & 'Fling' in the years to come!

Joining Luke in Room 1 will as ever be Electroquisite residents Luke Langson, Alex Clark & the huge UK electro talent that is Will Bailey (Toolroom Records)... With over 30 years experience between them, and having been behind some of the best nights Bristol has had to offer over the last 10 years, the promise of the most absorbing, beautifully crafted displays behind the decks is quite simply guaranteed.

Room 2 provides some variation to the main, with a slightly funkier vibe courtesy of Nathan Thomson, Tom Bruton & Dave Carter, making sure there's something for everyone's preference.

This promises to be yet another unmissable 'Neon Series' event... Don't miss out!

SPREAD THE WORD PEOPLE.... TELL YOUR FRIENDS, CALL YOUR MATES, INVITE YOUR BUDDIES TO THIS THREAD & REMEMBER TO LET EVERYONE KNOW YOU'LL BE THERE!!!
