At 15 he started his career in London, playing all of the major clubs at the time including the Ministry of sound, Club UK, the Gardening club, Shaftsbury’s, Limelight’s the Fridge etc. quickly gaining recognition as one of the most technically advanced Djs at such a young age in the late eighties early nineties house/acid house scene.
A couple of years later he had the opportunity to spread his wings to Spain where he took the crowds of Madrid, Barcelona & the Balearic islands to another dimension with his fresh individual mix of house and tech house.

Through the next nine years Darren had the pleasure of playing and supporting some of the worlds leading underground DJS and live acts such as Carl Cox, Derek May, Juan Atkins, Kevin Sanderson, Masters at work, Front 242, Carl Craig live, and a whole list of Crazy Nutters they call Djs.

Darren has enjoyed gigging at numerous clubs and festivals in countries such as America, Australia, China, Russia, Turkey, Croatia, Bulgaria Czech Republic, Holland, Belgium, France, Spain, and Sweden playing in events like Dance valley Amsterdam, Global Tendencies festival San Sebastian, Impulse outdoor festival Holland, Creamfields Istanbul, Taj Mahal Czech republic, millennium party Sydney, DV Amnesia Ibiza, la Cova Barcelona, Sancho Panza(Carnival) Isle of MTV party Croatia, Massive Attacks V.I.P After Party and with new missions booked for the future Darren’s sound is certainly spreading!!! Which can only be described as meaningful and musical, with GROOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Darren has always looked for sounds that can only be described as different!!! But, this is where the special talents of Darren really come into play, by bringing in subliminal mixes of different styles and elements based around house, keeping crowds on their feet, and good feelings inside. Originality & Quality music is the key to Da Roach’s success.
Next on Darren’s agenda is Electronic Body Movement a new special night starting in London soon - watch this space!!!!

We are pleased to announce the return of one of Bristol’s up and coming talent – this guy is one to watch….
A few things you may or may not know about A-J-SCENT Armed with CDs, a laptop and a cutting-edge imagination, A-J uses his DJ set to inject his own brand of technical wizardry onto the dancefloor. Never one to stick to the norm, he puts a unique spin on things, by doing personal re-edits himself and improvising music on the fly. With an expert hand, he deftly mixes up various types of techno, fidget house, nu-wave rave and electro, with lots of surprises, to keep the feet moving and the heads thinking. A-J-SCENT learnt his studio skills from collaborations with house heavy weights Jesse Rose and Jamie Anderson in his hometown, Bristol UK. He has recorded an impressive array of original house tracks, which have been remixed by many of the world’s big house names, including Switch, Paul Walford, Wally Lopez, Rob Mello, Peace Division and Jamie Anderson. A-J runs Lapdance Records, championing some of the most cutting-edge house on the planet. His highly original music has strong support from many DJs, including Tom Middleton, Trevor Loveys, Herve, Mr C, David Duriez, Laurent Garnier, Carl Cox and Josh Wink. A-J’s hard work and talent was recognised around the world when he came Number 1 in DJ mag's top 100 Hype chart for the end of the year, with his remix of Psycho Radio's 'In the underground'. DJ mag reviewed his futuristic house album BGood on NRK honchos by saying: “Never one to follow obvious mass trends, A-J-SCENT will undoubtedly be responsible for many new classics to come.”

Headlining room2…Dj Slackson has been DJ’ing and producing music for over 15 years. He has previously released 2 albums with his band Elevator Suite and supporting Morcheeba on a 3 month European tour. His latest album was released last year and the first single “The Wheel” was voted as Eddie Temple Morris’s record of the year on XFM. Aremix album is due out soon featuring mixes by Alex Metric, Aquasky and Crazy P. More recently he has been in the studio producing a new album, due for release this year, which will feature collaborations with Ray Yoc (Roc & Kato) and Phil Asher (Restless Soul). He has also in the studio with Tom Jones recording a track to be released through Phonetic recordings in the summer. A Freddie Le Grand remix of this is in the pipeline but yet to be confirmed! Other recent projects include a remix for James Browns (R.I.P) legendary backing group “The JB’s” of their classic track “Get on the goodfoot”. This is already getting rave reviews and airtime on the Craig Charles funk and soul show on BBC Radio 6. He has remixed “What planet you on” by Bodyrox which received rave reviews and was regularly charted in Ibiza’s legendary space nightclub chart. Future projects include a collaboration with legendary House music man “Rocky” one half of Junior Boys Owns “Rocky & Diesel”
Although his background in music started in the early days of house music, when he started DJ’ing and promoting nights on the south coast, nowadays you will mainly find him spinning an eclectic mix of funk, soul, jazz, breaks and hip-hop with a healthy sprinkling of the finest house music around. Always up for the party you can guarantee a night of dancefloor dizziness.
