the club isnt that bad but the bouncers are just arseholes they tae the complete piss out of you if you are d.s.i and your not aload to spot there which sucks!! u cant even hand d.s.i cards out!!
the manager thinks this club is the best thing thats ever hit england, trust me its far from it!! its jsut an average sort of club that you will get in every town, its not worth travelling to i made this mistake tonight unfortunately!! your far better off going to pantiles if your in the area or if willing to pay a bit extra go to the opera house in bournemoute (the king of all clubs)!!!

i agree with everything you have said mate. think there has been rumours about it shutting down for years but i have been asured that its not.

I can confirm that FJ is correct.................Pantiles is not shutting down !!!!

There have been rumours that it is going to shut down for at least the last 5yrs if not more and it is still there.

The thing with envy is that it is one of those clubs that people only go to because they have fallen out of the pub drunk and its the nearest place to go that is open longer and sells booze. Nobody actually wants to go there they just get drawn in!! But with pantiles you actually have to travel out abit to get to it so you have to make a conscious effort to get there and once your there you'll always have a good time even if its a normal night up there.

Once it does eventually come up for sale - which i doubt it ever will - i want first refusal!

hehe yeah so true, the bouncers outside envy were lectuering me on how envy is one of the best clubs around and how pantiles is closing down and there taking over, the funniest thing i heard from the manager of evny is that "the opera house in bournemouth is a dying nightclub which no one likes or goes to"

what?? i was at the last hard core heaven event at slinkys and it was sold out!!!! dying club indeed!!

What amusing reading these comments make - the review came from Laserman who doidn't actually get in that night because he had no proof of age. There was no lecturing about Pantiles closing because we know it's not!!! As for the music being the same every night that's so not true - how many clubs in the area do you know that do not play an RnB on a Saturday night as the main room is 100% house. On the view that people only go to envy cos they roll out the pub and it's there, this is very interesting as the club was full last Saturday at 10:45 over an hour before any pub in the town closed so yet another biased opinion!!!!

Can't believe u are even comparing Pantiles to Oceana,it's not even in the same league - in fact there is more class in Oceana's toilets than in pantiles!!! No I'm not a squaddie just a local who has a few friend that work @ Envy and thought I'd comment on the false review. If Pantiles is sooooo great why do I always get given a Pantiles flyer by some dodgy tart when I'm leaving Envy I mean are they desperate if the Envy clientele is so bad?

Ok, its my turn to say something...

I have never had a good night in Envy, to the point where I wouldn't waste my money going there.. Would rather go to Pantiles anyday of the weekend. Regardless of the night, there's always a good atmoshpere and I always have a wicked night.. I find Envy too young and very bitchy, the music is alway shit, but then the people who go to Envy don't go for the music.. So I guess it comes down to what you want from a nightout..

Couldn't tell you the last time I went there, it was last year sometime.. But I don't plan to go there again anytime soon.
