A planning application has been submitted to Surrey Heath Council to replace Pantiles Nightclub with a 79 bed elderly care home!

Yes it is true, there is a planning application submitted to Surrey Heath to demolish Pantiles and replace it with a care home!

so what do u hope to achieve by this petition? save pantiles? I cant really see it doin any good, if its been submitted then the land has more than likely alreday been sold, im as sad as anyone to see it close but u cant stop things like this unfortuneatly

I am also interested to know how we can save Pantiles from becoming yet another home for the elderley in this area. If there is a plan count me in!

The place is an institution and much as i respect the elderly it just seems like another place for the Ahem! young and middle aged to hang out and meet friends is being sold off for another bloody rest home.

the deal has been done, but will only complete IF they get planning. If enough people complain saginst it the council have to listen to the comments. Developer can then appeal if it gets rejected, and if i'm honest i think they will get it. Shortage of houses in south east, no room to build more, and a 67 bedroom place to free up 67 houses and replace a nightclub - MOST councils would prefer the nursing home.
Count me in though to try saving it - will be a sad day when it ends. btw, who is behind this? PM me

Heard that the place is due to shut down in July.

Going to be gutted as got some great memories from the place and it will be missed.
