BIG has come a long way in 8 years, from its first night in Ipswich, to promoting the biggest dance festival in East Anglia, Dance Island, the birthday event will celebrate years gone by and give a taste of what is lined up for this year and beyond. With a massive light and laser show, the scale of which has not been seen in this region, this event looks set to be one of the best BIG events ever!

Heading up the celebrations is queen of hard house Lisa Pin-Up, a regular at previous events she returns to grace the decks and show the boys how it’s done! Talking about the birthday event Lisa said “I'm so happy to be spinning for BIG on 7th! This event has built a massive reputation for its amazing parties over the years so I feel very privileged to have been asked to dj for them on their 8th birthday. Cant wait to see you all there!”

Internationally renowned K90 is looking forward to a return to BIG “As a local lad I’ve always enjoyed my sets at BIG and now consider it to be my home event! I was also really excited when I heard BIG was returning to Newmarket because over the years it seems to have developed a kind of spiritual connection with the place…BRING ON THE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS!!!”

Promotor and Resident Big Ben talked of the homecoming to Newmarket, the spiritual home to BIG, “I really can’t wait for the BIGs birthday event as we are not only celebrating 8 years in clubland it’s the homecoming to Newmarket!

From way back when it all started we have had so many ‘’BIG’’ nights there, some of the biggest DJs of today played for us when we were at this club all those years ago, names like Eddie Halliwell, Lisa Lashes, Alex Kidd and The Tidy Boys to name a few while leading acts like Fergie, Yomanda, Judge Jules and Lab 4 were regulars for us at the time!

Fast forward to today we are continuing to bring the some of the world’s leading DJs back to the region’s most prolific dance venue while opening the doors to some of the UKs freshest and undiscovered talent combined with some of the most mind blowing productions you only ever see at multi thousand capacity events…

Rising star and BIG resident Dan Stone has produced music for the likes of Anjunabeats, Conspiricy, Noys and recently signed with Armin van Buurens Armada label, “Ive been a BIG resident for over 4 years now, and played in various venues but I always look forward to returning to Newmarket. I’ve always felt the crowd has always been that bit more respectful and the atmosphere is always outstanding! The clubbers seem to make more of an effort and they are open to all music styles of the dance scene. This event is going to be the 8th anniversary for BIG and the official homecoming which is making this an extra special gig for me.”

Home grown DJ duo The BeatThiefs will be returning to BIG to start the night off, having played all around the world and getting great support from some of the biggest names in house, the stage is set for a great night. Henry Hacking, one half of The BeatThiefs added “We're really looking forward to getting back amongst it with BIG, it’s really where we started as 'The BeatThiefs'...... They're always wicked parties!“

Norwich based DJ/Promoter Dave Austin who is also playing at the event said: “I’m so pleased that Big are now back at Innocence. It’s an old theatre that retains many of the original features & because of this the sound is awesome. It reminds me of a smaller version of Koko (Camden Palace).

I feel honoured to be asked to play for such a special event & it shows how strong the Big brand is that it is celebrating its 8th year in club land. Believe it or not, it is one of the few venues I haven’t played at. I remember when it was called Club M & before that the Whitehouse, those were the days!”
