Major UK hardcore/jungle duo, best known for hardcore anthems This Sound Is For The Underground and The Slammer (on Subbase) and for jungle tunes The Licence and Ganja Man (on their own Tearin Vinyl label). Often credited as "DJ Krome & Mr Time".
DJ Krome and Mr Time were part of the Suburban Base collective of Romford in the early 90s. They collaborated together first under the name Kromozone for early rave classic, and initital Sub Base release, 'The Rush' then shortly after as Timebass for 'Fireball'.
Under their new moniker, a combination of their two previous, the twosome enjoyed their biggest success yet on such heavy tracks as 'This Sound is for the Underground', 'Manic Stampede' and the proto-Drum n Bass 'The Slammer'. The duo also reworked Smart E's massive hit 'Sesame's Treet' removing the cheese and allowing the tune to still be spun by moody DJs everywhere.

This was Krome & Time's last big tune for Suburban Base before they went on to change their style and come back with the massive track "The Licence". It is also, in my mind anyway, Subbase's last hands in the air style anthem. Full of uplifting Piano and female vocals, this is one of my favourite tunes.
