Music : Hard House, Hardstyle and Hard Trance

FRIDAY 29th MAY @ BAR AQUA
OUTBREAK WILL BE ROCKIN' PONTYPRIDD ONCE AGAIN WITH SOME OF WALES' FINEST DJ'S

THIS MONTH SWANKIE DJ WILL BE SLAMMIN' IT OUT BEHIND THE DECKS ;)

Swankie DJ - 1 half of Swankie DJ & Kashi
A pair of music fuelled addicts who are passionate about making reverse bass energy hard dance music and also hammering it out 4 all the hard dance lovers needs in style!!
Swankie DJ and Kashi met whilst Kashi was working in Catapult Records in Cardiff, here they established that they were in to the same type of hardstyle and were equally frustrated at the lack of more bouncy energetic hardstyle that was being released. This was just due to the way the scene was going at the time.
Kashi studied music technology and had been producing around three years by this time, his production experience and technical ability, and Swankies raw energy, mixing talent and continuous musical ideas combined to make up one of the most exciting up and coming dance music acts in the UK.

There first release was named ‘Mouve Solo’, which represented their love of “reverse bass” hardstyle. This went on to be played by Welsh Hard Dance legends Cally & Juice along with Ed Real formerly of Nukleuz Records. Mouve Solo firmly put Swankie DJ & Kashi on the map of the big and ever popular hard dance production circuit, and since then they have a string of hits that have been played out some of the biggest names in the business. Including The Trance Generators, Cally & Juice, Brian M vs McBunn, Express Viviana, Nino Pipito and Ed Real to name just a few.

Due to the demand for their own distinctive brand of hardstyle, Swankie and Kashi decided to set up their own Digital Label, S&K Recordings Digital. Here they have now got numerous releases under their belt and the label is going form strength to strength, with collaboration work with Nino Pipito and Remixes done by Logger and Gnetic from Uberdruck records and also Krash from Zoom Records (Italy).

2008 has been a big year for the two Welsh boys playing in the Slamming Vinyl hardcore Weekender in Southport, Waveform Festival and also featuring in the massive line-up at Westfest 2008. Alongside Bionic, Breathe, Project Storm and other events they are regulars at.
