The Acid Casuals are back:
After their string of debauched parties in a basement were stopped due to the managements disproval of the crowds wrong doings when one party got too out of hand, the Acid Casuals have been on the look out for a new venue ever since.
Rather than hold uninspiring events in venues with no character or glitz bar’s the Casuals put the party on hold until something suitable was found. The search has taken 18 months but at last we have found a venue situated in the heart of Cardiff which ticks the dark, dingy and intimate boxes.
Reminiscent of the much loved Emporium (RIP) with 2 long narrow room’s, nook’s and crannies to get lost in, pleanty of seating, random mirrored toilets and a cemented staircase leading to a cellar, in Contis we have found a place we can finally call home.
With past exclusives including Green Velvet, Claude VonStroke, Alex Smoke and Jamie Jones, The Casuals will continue to bring Cardiff cutting edge music and upfront artists from across the world without jumping on the bandwagon.
For our first instalment we bring Fabric resident and one half of Tyrant, Craig Richards who will be playing a 4hr set! Those of you lucky enough to catch Craig at Fabric for one of his end of night sets leading on until the early hours of the morning will know that it would be an injustice to let him play for anything less.
This will be a rare oportunaty to catch Craig, who has been a resident for seven years at one of the worlds most forward thinking clubs, outside of Fabric and as you can imagine is very selective of where he plays.
