Right then, its been awhile since our last night but after the recoup (and recharging me batterys) Hostile returns to the fold once more. What a return it is to as we welcome the now HUGE and genre defineing label Toolbox to Cardiff. In the 7 years Toolbox has been goin, theyve pioneered some of the more unique sounds to Hardhouse aswel as featuring some of the greatest production names to come out of the scene. Never been one to be stuck to one style, Toolbox has always kept there schedule fresh. With label off-shots such as Hammerheads (The harder) Toolbox choons (Digi) and Toolbox house, Toolbox has seen over 50 vinyl releases. There also one of the few labels to venture in the commercial compilations market by releasing no fewer than 6 major releases seeing them firmly growing as the biggest label in the scene. Innovative, consistent, reliable and legendary are just a few words that you might find being used to describe Toolbox, and in 2008 the label is being watched more closely than ever to see what the next step in its history will be.........

Headlining Hostile for the Toolbox tour, strangly enough is Label boss Nik Denton. Without doubt the Hardest working Dj, Promoter, Label boss, Producer and distribution manager, Nik does it all. Toolboxes headhoncho has always pushed the sound he loves, weather its the Harder stuff or the more laid back funkier sounds he always nows how to work a crowd. No stranger to many hardhouse fans Niks productions have inspired many, his label has influenced others and the distribution has kept many labels going from strengh to strengh. In simple words......... he is Hardhouse!!!!!
Joining Nik on this part of the tour is the ever growing P.A.S. The 4 strong group of dj/producers hit the spotlight with great effect with the huge remix of the classic 'Higher' by Trauma. There power driven productions have seen them received wide reviews, aswel as hitting the dancefloor hard with there LIVE shows, P.A.S have a huge future within the scene. Tim Stokes graces the decks with his Chunky, Funky hardhouse. Fast growing into one of the most talked about producer, Tim came to light with the now massive Adaware. First released on Toolbox Choons (Digital) it was such a big success it was later released on vinyl. Tim is also 1 part AK47, the highly acclaimed duo behind some forth coming bangers that are not to be missed. More recently Tim has worked on 'Music is moving' by Cortina, which has been snapped up by Nucleus records. No mean feet as this is the first Proper Hardhouse release on the label for many a year
New (ish) to the scene is up & coming producer Louis Fernio. With production work popping up all ova the shop Louis has made a name for his self producing and engineering. His Funkier, groovier beats stand out above many others. Now a local lad (for a short time anyway) Louis fits the Toolbox sound down to a tee. Watch this space
And not forgetting our resi's of coarse. There is no other than Marc Johnson, the last year production side of things has arguable been his finest. 'Blunt Force', 'Something Ugly' and without doubt one of the tunes of the year 'Hyperscum' have been rinsed by all that have had them. His newly co promoted night Requiem is fast becoming the capitals biggest Hardhouse night, bring only the very best in what the scene has to other. Flashpoint is still goin strong in the difficult times that vinyl is see and with massive release's taking us up to the end of the year, Marc will continues to set the benchmark, as he always does
Last and least is Hostile promoter Gary B. Gary has been working hard on not just Hostile nights but also launching Hostile Digi, Hostile Funk and Hostility (Singles CD), aswel as taking steps for his own production works to be on a more regular. With Tracks in line from himself, Louis Fernio and Hi Freak1c set to be unleashed, all he has to do now is promote himself!!!!
Influence returns again to Cardiff with a new venue, Move Night Club, Mill Lane (formally Red Rooms) in full support of the Tool Box Record Tour & Hostile and we have picked some of the finest Welsh talent to slam it out for the night!!!
We have headliner and new resident DJ Stu Grady topping the bill, no introductions are needed here; Stu is one of the finest Welsh DJ’s playing at the moment and will blow the place apart on his debut set at Influence.
We also have the in famous Welsh B2B duo of DJ Smart - E and Kris Soundz from Powerjam who will make the trip over to Cardiff to show us what they can do on the decks !!! With some outstanding releases on Full Force Records recently this set will be rocking!!!!!
We have another infamous B2B set coming from X – Plosive record own Barbers and Manx. With the recent formation of there record label X – Plosive Records, this high energy set will be an X Plosive record exclusive that will be a must for any Hardstyle head!!!! Submission’s K Sketch is also making the trip to Cardiff to show the Influence crowd what the Submission head honcho can do. He has made Submission one of the best know nights in South Wales and we look forward to hearing his unique sounds at Influence!!!
We can also say congratulations to DJ Jabba who won our competition to have the opening set in the Influence room. He can play all styles from hardcore,hardtrance,hardstyle,dnb,nuskool breaks. He has play for all the major clubs in the southwest and is a resident DJ for Club Firewall, Filth Infatuated and Inferno.
Finally we have Boyzee and Stevie J the Co promoters and residents DJ’s for Influence. They have been picking up some major bookings recently including booking’s for The Syndicate Super Club in Bristol for its 1st ever Hardcore night and Resonate in Bournemouth to name a few !!! But the Cardiff crowd is fast becoming there home with Influence and can’t wait to slam out another hour of mind blowing Hardstyle to the Welsh crowd!!!
We have got MC Outbreak making his Influence Debut to host the room. He is currently a resident MC at nights all over the South West of England and Wales and has been a resident at the legendary GBH night’s from 1998 – 2004. He is known for his mad head stage presence and high energy mcin' guaranteed to get any crowd rocking.
The middle bar will be hosted all night by Funky Dory djs & Techgrove, pounding out some dirty electro and filthy house.
