Who said Old Skool Was Dead?
Thanks to everyone who attended this event, it was about half full, which i think was due to the fact that it was a Bank Holiday and there was so much going on, but what a shame as the event itself was amazing. The Promotors (Lion King Promotions) put on a spectacular show with regards to production. The stage set up and lighting, lasers etc were breathtaking, the only minor problem was the sound (apologies for this) which has now been sorted for the next event. This did not interfere in anyway with the brilliant atmosphere in the dance and as far as i know there were no complaints, only pure praise. The main DJ's and MC's Mickey Finn, Darren Jay, Shabba and Det were heavy, they hyped the crowd for a 2 hour set and were absolutely wicked, all in all the event went down very well. I have to big up the crowd because they were second to none, so give yourselves a pat on the back peeps and get ready for the next one. Check out the details for the next event. see ya there!

mate when's the next one? I'd make sure you do one at the start of October when all the students are back. need to get the big names again but can you get one of these
Funky Flirt / Food Junkie / Phantasy / Ratpack / MC FiveAlive
or get some proper old skool MC's like
Zoobee / Deemus J / Diamond White / to do an education - history of jungle - set.

Fair play all those who were there were lively and well up for it. The set up was sweet as well - where did you get all that? Immtek?

Fucking loved seeing Kane (Chico), Fugi and T-Bone - best part of the night for me. was a bit of a bass fm reminder.

I think for the next one you should do half price entry for the horn massive ;)

Cardiff Junglist, thanks for your comments, i'm glad you enjoyed it, to be honest i didn't think you were there, anyway big up to you and i will defo look out for you on the next one and come and say hi. As for your input about the students coming back in October and the DJ's and MC's you mentioned will keep that in mind. Will defo be getting Funky Flirt in the future (watch this space). Thanks for your support and keep on supporting! By the way how do you know Caine and Fugi?

I don't know Caine and Fugi personally, but I used to listen to BassFM and Caine was on there quite a bit as far as I remember. Still got the old tapes from it. but they were the highlight for me. *limb by limb we a go cut dem down. with the hacksaw, take out the tongue* fucking quality.

All you need to do to find me is follow the sound of the horn man. I'll be at the end of it so link me next time.

I had to leave half way thru MickyFinn Darren Jay Det and Shabba tho cos I got cyatica and my back was playing up that night - luckily I was fine and shocking out thru Innovation in Barca tho.

Another old skool lot I love but didnt' put down man - The Go Getters - Pappa G, Junglist and Curse.

There should be a minute silence for Spex - I remember the one at the Kemi tribute at Emporium when Storm came back and played by herself - pretty deep.

NEW also have you looked in to rat pack thay always go down a treat?

Ratpack killed it in Innovation - absolutely sick.

Inno was heavy. One of my best holidays. Germany2006, missed my flight to Barca so had to stay in a barn near Frankfurt airport overnight and pay a small fortune to fly the next morning, but worth it.

Footy, Raving, Bratwurst, Fit Birds, Booze and hot sun - can't really ask for much more from a holiday.

Some of my mates necked some of the DJ's and MC's. Not exactly sure what went down cos I was smashed. Think ShyFX, Skiba and AdamF tasted some of my girls tho - haha. Shabba was dancing in the crowd wearing a lumo yellow Barcelona kit with "messi" written on the back - quite appropriate.

LionKing are you part of Immtech? and are you going to have the same set up in the point as you did in the exchange?

No were not part of imtech, they provide things like system, van and some other equipment, but all the lighting, backdrops, netting, laser etc was provided by Lion King that's are own stuff. The stage was hired. The point have there own stage and a heavy sound system, but we will be doing all the lighting, lasers etc etc. Don't worry it will be a wicked set up as that is something that Lion King has always done with regards to production, put on good shows!!!!!!!!!!!!

down the bottom, past where you reply, there is another box, which says "invite your buddies to this topic". Hit the arrow on the right of "select a buddy, then click Add...*".

Then....I think you'll get it from there on.
