What!!?? What!!?? I Hear you say, why iam doing a review from an event 3 years ago!!?? Well i have 2 reasons, 1 im very bored being unemployed @ the moment and doing this is just keeping me from going insane!! ;p and 2, with the evolution cardiff reunion group on facebook and seeing old Bionic flyers on there aswell, i've been very nostalgic latelly!! ;p So here we go then with another Valley-Houser's views on a night out but this time im sending my mind back 3 years instead of 3 days lol ;p

2006 was the year of change for me in a few ways, none clubbing wise in june of this year i got together with sam and stayed with her for just over 2 years, the longest i've either been with any one so far, and clubbing wise it was the year i discovered Bionic :)

I got into clubbing in 2002 where i discoverd Evolution and it's resident Kris Hill and became one of the club's and kris's biggest fan as i went every saturday and one in 3 wednesdays after i finished afternoons as i was working shifts then, and for me the club and him got me into hard dance music, 2002 - 2004 was when the place and kris was @ it's best as every saturday and wednesday rocked, then in 2005 the crowds dwindled through out the year and you could tell the place was dying as wednesday stoped and room 2 was closed on saturdays, and then in january 2006 kris left evo and then by march nothing was left in evo except cloud 9, which i did not like @ all so stoped going to evo then, @ the tail end ish of 2005 i met mushroom emz and then @ that time lashes pin up lover, who then became sat nav gav bionic, they boath biged Bionic up and said i must check it out & i said nah!! Yea i said that lol ;p Mainlly because @ that time i'd only ever heard the name Bionic on the odd Poster and flyer i saw @ evo, because they wernt regular ie monthlly putting on events @ evo back then as i've come to discover over the last few days that they did a few venues in cardiff including evo with an event here and then the next there it seemed, and because they wernt regualr ie monthlly @ evo i never took much interst as i got all my hand dance weekly fixs from kris @ evo and as the only place i ever went to was evo aswell all i knew was hill / evo, so as i said i brieflly heard the name Bionic now and then but never took any interst in it, and that sounds mad now comeing from me one of Bionic's Biggest fans like ;p And what was allso putting me off checking out Bionic was that i had a bad experience a few years ago on a friday night @ evo, as i said i used to go on saturdays and wednesdays but then one day i saw an event advertised for a friday so decided to check it out and i was totally not impressed @ all, it was called devestaion and it wernt my cuppa t @ all so i said tomyself hmm fuck going fridays again and then i saw Bionic advertised there then for a friday and i said nah i don't think so because i thought it would be like devastion, oh how wrong i was lol ;p

Emma and gavin did convince me to check Bionic out as for me evo had finished and if i hadn't have checked Bionic out @ Kudos i think by the end of 2006 i would have given up on clubbing perhaps!!?? I'll never know that for certain but what iam certain of im so glad i discoverd Bionic because of it, it has kept me in the hard dance scene and with the help of dsi aswell i've become just like a load of people i know clubbing celebs, that does sound weird but it's so true because if they ever did a clubbing big brother, clubbers who watched it would know who the people who are that are in there, as i was talking to flanjeeta awhile back and she mentioned @ the syndicate she met who and a few other pro spotters and i knew exactally who she was talking about evan though i've never met them i know who they are mad i know like lol ;p

Right then on to my 1st ever Bionic Experience, i can roughlly remember that i got there @ roughlly 9.40 ish!!, i remmember this as the 1st set was kinda funky hard, and it was trinty playing i believe!!?? looking @ that flyer she aint on there but looking back i think i can only rember only 1 female dj playing so perhaps so replaced frisky for some reason!!?? Because looking through the photos i can't see frisky there but i saw trinity there!!?? I remember cally and juice kicking of there set with the 20 years ago track, i can remember the organ donors dropping cosmic freefall, i can remember some dropping hardstyle instructor in the last set, i thought that was bunny but im not sure now as i was shocked to see rob the red on the line up so perhaps it was him or evan brian i dunno!!?? I was shocked to see rob's name on the flyer then as i though i hadn't heard of him until like a year or so later!!?? I Remember shocker on the mic as i'd seen him before hosting timeflies in evolution, and i remember thinking wowzer he's like what he was like in evo, because i thought perhaps he was toned down for evo as all the mc's i'd heard up until hearing him never shut up and allways talked bollocks, and they all still do except Shocker who' s the only Mc i like. I can't remember Brian's or Bunny's set as back then i didn't know who was who, which is weird as now there my fave's like, looking back @ these photo's i think to myself, yea we all look that little bit younger, but dam check out chuck-e and bunny as they look propa young espically bunny, i mean if i was on the door that night i'd have to ask him, sir have you any id as you look propa young lol ;p

My memory of this event my be a bit vague set wise etc, but my memory of this night in another way as i still remember the feeling now, as this event was my 1st Bionic Experience and i enjoyed the feel ie vibe wise because a lot of the music was new to me, it felt right like when i 1st went to evo and didn't know who kris was and then i kept going back as the vibe was right, as the vibe as said was right here aswell, i didn't know which one for example Was Brian M or Which one was Mcbunn, but what i did know was the vibe @ this event felt right, and i've never looked back as i fucking loves Bionic I Do OI OI, Chop Chop Spin Back ;p :)

Yeah she did, that's about all i remember from that night.

This was a crazy night for me. It was my first ever Bionic and my first ever night out with Emz hahaha. Met up with her, went in the cry for a bit (good times!) then headed over to Kudos. I remember it was one of the first times i'd ever taken pills and I ended up taking 7 and waking up in the worst possible place!! I met Gav and Trampy that night and I think i chatted Dale's ear off for ages haha! Think there's only about 2 pics of me from this night.

WOAH! Just going through the pics, there was loads of people there who I know now! Didnt realise Bally or Franko were there!

I remember tha nite vaguely, is tha the 1 where the toilets were flooded?? Was a bangin nite thou, good club 2!!

Yeah! And Brownie (one of the biggest, beefiest guys I've ever met) was fighting haha

Me and Del came all the way up and they wouldn't bloody let us in! Bouncers reckoned they weren't lettin anyone else in!! Grrrrrr

Lol.. I might be wrong, those were the drugs days, I could have been fukcin ANY WHERE, but im sure it was the day I done an all dayer i the pub, Sally picked me up and we ended up in some wierd church or hall,,, Friskog played also, ill have to ask them :D
