we've never been £5 a can, plus you can get crates of beers in the camp site shop for cheaper as well.

get your facts right please. not very polite to make false accusations in a public forum.

go to the weekender instead

or both...slammin events (one night ones) tend to be a pit pricey etc but every BIG event ive been to by them (weekender, sanc etc) always phat...

Do miss the slammin que club days tho, could NEVER fault it then!

well... you say that... but for ALL our events we do 'price breaks'.

for example, tickets for a Tranz-mission, Easter Spectacular or WestFest etc, will, for argument's sake, go on sale at £20. then, maybe 6 or 8 weeks later they'll go to £25, then after that they'll go to £29.50.

we always advertise these discounted tickets, and at the moment you can get a WHOLE WEEKEND Sanctuary ticket for just £45!

if you compare those prices, say to other, smaller events at sub 2,000 capacity clubs you'll find they compare very well. also, look at all the other festivals... £45 is great value, especially considering the overheads in putting on an outdoor event.

I just meant in terms of everything, not actual tickets, u usually end up spending mroe etc at the smaller events as at the bigger ones ure there all weekend and a)tend to have more money so seems like your spending less but also there is more goign on eg. buy an event lanyard and its for 3 days instead of 8 hours...

WHOLE WEEKEND Sanctuary ticket for just £45!

Bought two last night...lol

wel id say i tend to drink alot of beer at raves coz iam a big drinker u might not be bunni but alot of ppl are drinkers and when u compare the price of a can £5 to a can in the shop which is say £1 it is a bloody big rip off. u pay to get in then ur paying again dearly to have a drink which in my eyes is day lioght robbery babes and thats what i'am getting at!!

Thats just raping people if thats true.
If you took your own supplies in, then the ticket price would probably go up.....

Maybe the booze price helps keep overall ticket prices down, in which case, those that dont drink benefit from those that do!

Most iv paid at any event for a single can of beer was £3.50........dont think im likely to pay £5 and if anything, ul prob get more people sneaking there booze in, in spirit form..........

Its all part n parcel of events like this tho.......they never come cheap overall, as if it did, it would reflect in the line up eh.........

Me personally........i cant afford the ticket price or the £5 cans of beer but i might stil get there!

Am hoping so!

OMG. look at my post 3 down from the top. it's not true.

a can in the shop which is say £1

have a party in a shop then.

it's more expensive than it is in a shop because the prices have to cover all the overheads from building the venue to paying staff and all sorts in between.

i'll be the one around the back selling the £5 cans....
OMG. look at my post 3 down from the top. it's not true.

I said 'if'..........theres somebody saying it is true, and somebody saying it isnt.......

I cant take sides til i find out for myself......unless Slammin want to go one step further n tell the masses the expected cost of a drink once ya get in.....

Its an issue for some people, not me personally as im not a heavy drinker, and maybe one that can be cleared up b4 the event........at least people might be able to budget better, knowing wot there expecting to payout.

Theres always clubbing together to buy crates if they are cheaper....there will be plenty of people there on a tight budget who can put £££'s in the kitty.

If cans are 3.50 then thats only a few more pennies than the pub and remember to drink premium lager, not that carling 4.2% rubbish - why complain? does the pub have wicked djs and hundreds of happy ravers?
