When it comes to boutique festivals, there is none more beautiful than the Electric Gardens, held in the Garden of England, Kent on the weekend of Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th August. Set at the breathtaking Mount Ephraim Gardens (www.mountephraimgardens.co.uk) - a stunning 800 acre stately home & estate, steeped in over three hundred years of history, Electric Gardens returns for a second sumptuous year. Showcasing the sounds of over 50 acts spread across 4 stages, this summer’s Electric Gardens will feature cult headline bands, the year’s most exciting new and local talent, plus a wealthy mix of world-class DJs to keep the kids dancing. With a gorgeous selection of gourmet foods sourced from the local area, secure & safe weekend camping (including an onsite ‘Midnight Village’ offering late night food, drinks & entertainment), plus many more festival treats along the way, look no further than Electric Gardens 2007 for this summer’s perfect festival experience.

Last year’s debut event saw over 10,000 party people flock to Kent to see live performances from The Charlatans, The Automatic, The Fratellis, Audio Bullies and many more. This year, with Lock N Load Events & ClubClass putting their sizeable weight and experience behind Electric Gardens (more on that below), look out for an even greater festival adventure, as this acclaimed two day event returns bigger and better than ever before. Oh, and then there’s the small matter of this summer’s all important headline bands to announce, and who better than two bands who have made such a huge impact on contemporary British music and with that have brought the world some of the iconic songs ever made. We give you… THE HAPPY MONDAYS and SUPERGRASS!!

** Happy Mondays & Supergrass Headline **

When it comes to dancing in fields, the county of Kent can hold more tales than most. During the late 80’s the farms of Kent played host to some of the greatest musicians of recent times. One such act included the Happy Mondays who return to the county to perform live for the first time in almost twenty years. Led by the inspirational Shaun Ryder and his maraca-shaking-sidekick Bez, the Mondays will be performing the classics that helped them achieve legendary status, in addition to new material from their long awaited comeback album (their first LP in fifteen years!). The completely-sold-out Glastonbury and V Festivals are the only other UK festivals the Mondays are performing at this year and with tickets to their upcoming UK tour similarly being snapped up in minutes, this is your only chance in 2007 to witness the Mondays at their influential and exceptional best, and the Madchester massive will be bringing the whole festival to a close on the Sunday night.

Living young, free and keeping their teeth nice and clean, the second headliner for Electric Gardens 2007 is another band who’ll be bringing back the spirit of 1990’s indie music; Supergrass. Comprising of Gaz Coombes, Danny Goffey, Mick Quinn and Rob Coombes, Supergrass are without doubt one of the most highly regarded and accomplished live bands in the UK, with music that’s full of life and full of energy. Their unique sound will fit perfectly with the exclusive setting of Mount Ephraim, as Supergrass show yet again why they have become one of the most decorated British groups of our generation. Check ‘em out on Saturday night.

Electric Gardens 2007 is brought to you by Lock N Load Events and Club Class. Lock N Load Events are the acclaimed festival organisers behind the Metro Weekender (London & Cardiff) spawning the sell-out one days events South West Four, Get Loaded in the Park and Cardiff Calling, in addition to putting on some of London’s most high profile club shows. ClubClass meanwhile, are the highly respected club night from Kent, now based at the Ministry of Sound in London, who’ve been bringing on the party for over the decade now! With this innovative pairing in charge of the ship, you know the Electric Gardens is in safe hands.

Early Bird Tickets for Electric Gardens 2007 go on sale on Tuesday 1st May @ 9am. General Tickets go on sale @ 9am on Friday 4th May. Tickets are available exclusively from www.ticketmaster.co.uk / 0871 230 9848.
