SATURDAY 18TH JULY - CUBISM PRESENTS DAVE ROBERTSON (RESET ROBOT) AT RIVER, MAIDSTONE
Cubism continues at River on Saturday 18th July, a date which will see the whole town rocking again throughout the day and all of the night! We will be kicking off our proceedings at River with Daniel Donnachie again providing his unique blend of cosmic funked out beats on the River terrace from 5pm with a free bar-b-q to keep your energy levels up for the antics of the night ahead from 7pm before we unleash the awesome Bose sound system upstairs from 8pm.

Our special guest this time alongside residents Mark Gwinnett and Mike Healey is well established tech house beat maker Dave Robertson. Dave is well established as one of the most influential production talents in the UK tech house scene, with a cool diverse sound that has support from all of the biggest DJs on the planet, and demand from the finest record labels in the industry. His remixes are a regular feature on Radio 1, Kiss, and countless other radio stations around the world, and the coming months are set for Dave to cement his status as one of the leading UK producers in electronic music. Dave has already featured on Cubism with a superb remix of Rhythm Code's 'The Borrower' last year and we are looking forward to welcoming him back to the label with a forthcoming remix from him under his Reset Robot guise :) Watch this space for more details! His recently created alter ego Reset Robot has burst on to the scene with an impact rarely seen. With two EP’s already scheduled on Dubfire's premier tastemaker label Sci+Tec and Nic Fanciulli featuring his track 'Continue' on his recent Global Underground album it is with tremendous excitement that we welcome Dave to Cubism at River as part of one the best extended sessions in Maidstone this summer.

Also we are pleased to be welcoming to the line up a familiar Maidstone DJ, Alex K. Alex was originally better known as one half of minimal duo Detakid, playing various gigs in Kent and London at venues like The Loft, Egg, Public Life and 54, but most notably holding a residency for Pacha Beyond, an underground venture at the formerly strictly commercial venue, Pacha. Always looking to evolve and grow, Alex has now found himself drawn to a more Tech House orientated style and has once again gone solo, incorporating groovier house and tribal elements into his sets as well as tougher minimal beats. This different style has found him playing regularly for Afterhours and Bedlam both at the Source Bar in Maidstone, while at the same time he continues to broaden his skills, experimenting with programs such as Traktor Scratch and focusing heavily on producing his own music under the alias Recito. Look out for Alex's debut on Cubism soon with a remix of Tyler Brunton and Sirus Bagheri's wicked Tantrum Dub track which is due for release on the label later this year.

Remember this is all completely free, delivered on the awesome BOSE soundsystem with some of the best drink deals around and if you are there early enough a free barbie.
