Second Room Lineup Announced!

After last week's huge main room lineup got announced featuring headliner GILES SMITH we can finally reveal the full lineup for room 2!

First off we welcome our headliner, ROB FOCUS from APPLY THE BREAKS Breakspoll Breakthrough DJ Award winners

Think Scratch Perverts or the former Drunken All-stars with a sense of humour and you’re about there.

Formed in May 2003, ATB consists of DJs Mack The Knife, C Smoove, Rob Focuz, Idle, and Daddy Fingaz, and host K.I.D, who combine in various configurations to produce an energetic DJ show covering the full spectrum of breakbeat music.

It's certainly not a scene for the feint-hearted, and the unique live experience continues to grow as the crew approach their 5th year as residents at rave-giants Raindance as well as headline slots at various events up and down the country such as Epidemik, Waveform and Sunrise Festivals. The crew have also ventured as far afield as Ibiza, Miami, Poland and Lyon France in recent months.

Next up on the bill we have a name now synonymous with quality re-edits, DJ Small Fry. Small Fry has suported some of the biggest names in breaks and house warming up for acts such as the Plump DJs, Stanton Warriors, Krafty Kuts, Drumattic Twins, Soul of Man General Midi, Lee Coombes and Leeroy Thorhil (Prodigy). Influenced by the likes of Bushwacka and the Stanton Warriors, Small Frys sets have established him as one of the main players of Kents breaks scene.

With recent productions and remixes gaining support from likes of Annie Nightingale, Krafty Kuts, Stanton Warriors, DJ Icey, DJ Deekline, The Utah Saints, Slyde, Askillz, Nick Thayer, Micky Slim, Skool Of Thought and a wide variety of other big names it seems things are set go off in 2009...

Evil Keg is our final guest of the evening. EvilKeg, a.k.a. Keith Wilson is a house, breaks and electro DJ as well as a producer who has been obsessively creating music in some form, since Santa sent him his Atari 1040 STFM back in 1991. This was back in the day when studios didn't fit in a computer and people wore boiler suits and face-masks to dance.

Currently he compiles and broadcasts a show live on the Breakspoll 2009 nominated radio station Brap.fm. The show goes out every other Wednesday and is an eclectic mix of indie, breaks, electro, bootlegs and house from the last three decades. He routinely reviews DJ hardware and related equipment via YouTube as well as on discussion forums on the internet.

He can also be found performing live across the UK playing what the crowd want to hear, no-one likes playing to an empty dance floor! Keith also frequently compiles music compilation CDs for Heineken, Fosters, Coca-Cola, Schweppes, Fanta and Minute Maid, choosing tracks that will compliment each product's current advertising campaign.

Completing the lineup are residents Dycey and Jon Varney providing there signature tech breaks style.

Main Room Lineup Announced!

Hope everyone is having a great week! We are pleased to announce the lineup for the main room @ Tunnel Vision.

We welcome our headliner with open arms. He is the driving force behind the legendary Secret Sundaze parties and one half of Two Armadillos alongside King Roc, he is the one and only GILES SMITH!

After the turn of the mellenium, inspired by hedonistic cutting edge clubs both in the UK and Ibiza, Giles and a group of friends launched Secretsundaze in 2001. In a short period of time, secretsundaze became the hottest ticket in town for both guest DJ’s (Ricardo Villalobos, Carl Craig, Steve Bug, Mike Shannon, Luciano, Ame, Losoul and Ivan Smagghe, Jay Haze to name a few); and party people from all over Europe. These colourful summer Sunday daytime parties have also made secretsundaze the darling of the UK media with it being voted “Best Club Night” by readers of Time Out in London in “The Time Out Live Awards 2005” and awarded the accolade “Club of The Year” in the January 2006 edition of Mixmag. secretsundaze also became known for taking risks with bookings, breaking new, fresh talent in the UK, something which Giles was largely responsible for. The buzz about secretsundaze has also spread across Europe with hugely successful parties taking place in Ibiza (2005 / 2006), Sonar Festival In Barcelona (2005 / 2006/ 2007/2008), Snowbombing in Austria and Miami (2008)

Production wise Giles’ first experiments were with his friend Dan Berkson (Poker Flat), remixing a track on Spanish label Logical Noise in 2006. Late last year he started working on a new project: “Two Armadillos” with Martin Dawson (aka King Roc). In the last 6 months they have released their first ep “Tunnel Of Light” on Steve Bug’s Dessous imprint to critical acclaim. The duo also have an ep “Butterfly Bee” soon to be released on the UK’s Four: Twenty records home to artists of the ilk of Loco Dice and Martin Buttrich and with a remix from Cadenza’s Andomat 3000 and Jan.

2008 is already shaping up to be another strong year for Giles, with follow up releases lined up for Dessous, Four:Twenty and Buzzin Fly. Remixes for Kiki and Dan Berkson and James What are in the pipeline as is a second secretsundaze mix CD, sheduled for late summer.

As you can imagine was are VERY excited about Giles' first guest appearance in Kent!

Our second special guest is Club Class resident SAM BALL. No stranger on the bill of the coolest events in the world, Sam is also the label boss for the hugely successful I-Fi Music receiving support from a who's who of dance music including Laurent Garnier, Carl Cox, Layo & Bushwaka, Nick Warren, Danny Howells, Nic Fanciulli, the list goes on and on.

Completing the lineup will be Mode residents Duncan K, Tom Jobson and Dom Cresswell. Support comes in the form of two of our favourite local DJs Ashley McKenna & Michael Barham.

So there we go! 6 hours of the best house and techno in one of the best underground venues in the UK and an awesome lineup of cutting edge international talent with local heroes across two rooms, in a former Napoleonic Fort - what more could you want!

Tickets are just £12 and selling fast. For an extra £2.50 you can also hop on the party express, return travel from Maidstone that includes entrance to the afterparty @ Source Bar until 7am! Tickets are only available online from clubtickets.com
