Everyone knows what to expect from Essex even if you havent been lucky enough to experience it, Monday night bedlam had it all, or as we like to say the three B's... Booze, Birds and Boogieing.
With drinks being £2.20 it was always going to be messy as the photos show, Essex girls love a good... photo!
DJ played a good set which got every1 on the dance floor and it was heaving with tang!, absolutly quality!
Monday night always a good crack, something for every1, if your any where near Dukes Genesis make an appearence, you know it makes sense!

I don't really like Dukes on a Monday, too much attitude. I used to go a fair bit, just because I know a lot of people down there, but not any more.

I mean someone just got stabbed in the face outside the entrance on Monday!

I dont disagree with you though, it obviously is quite appealing to a lot of people, and they are genuinly having a good time, so fair play to them.

Fridays are good for Funky house and Trance, go there quite often, but they have a dress code.

For real clubbing - get a train to London.

A Bouncer has been hospitalised after being stabbed in the back outside a Chelmsford nightclub. The 21-year-old from Chelmsford was attacked outside Dukes with another doorman and smashed over the head with a bottle or glass.

The attack followed a fight which had started inside the club and the bouncers threw the culprits out.

A small group of men in their 20s remained outside the club's front entrance in Duke Street.

One of the men brandished a butterfly or flick knife and stabbed the bouncer.

He is described as muscular, mixed race, 6ft 1ins and wore a light coloured T-shirt and jeans.

The attack on the other doorman left him with a deep cut on his head. Both were taken to Broomfield Hospital.

The stab victim was kept in overnight. Police spokeswoman Dawn Clark said the wound was not life threatening.

The attack happened at about midnight on Monday and police are appealing for witnesses or information about the attackers, who escaped. Contact Chelmsford police station on 01245 491212.

The ambulance service was called back to Dukes at 12.35am the same night to treat a 25-year-old man for injuries to his face.

not much choice in chelmo though is there, and obviously u must have been there so your contradicting yourself really, and no money to go any where else so im stuck with it!

Yeh to be fair nitefly, when I go I catch up with loads of old mates and school mates so the social aspect is good. Also not everyone can get out of Chelmsford all the time so they do what they can here.

If only there was more choice here for non commercial music...

Im planning a big night out for loads of peeps around xmas and was thinking of going dukes on a thursday.
Does anyone know if its any good on thursdays?What kind of music it plays? drink prices etc?
Also does chelmsford tend to be busy on a thursday night?
