Break Out is back in da ‘Nham…yeah baby!
Following the success of Break Out’s twisted little sister Broken @ Coco Lush, we are pleased to announce the return of the Break Out with the spectacular news that we are hosting a room at none other than Gatecrasher in Cheltenham on 8th April. For one night only, the legendary Gatecrasher classics is coming to Moda in da ‘Nham. The main room will be glowsticks and grins a-go-go with boshing trance classics, then you have funky house fun in room 2 with globe-trotting DJ Lisa Unique and then in room 3 it’s all about Break Out! For your aural pleasure, SiyTek will be warming up the Break Out crowd with some chunky house music, followed by Break Out ressies Simon Pisani and Lizzie Curious with their trademark twisted, bass-driven, electro house. To bring the night to a thundering finale, Break Out’s Chris Hughes will be playing an electro-fying, hands in the air closing set. And if that constitutes a magnificent opening for April, the end of the month gets even better with the relaunch of Break Out at Bohemia in Cheltenham – back where we belong! Bohemia is now under totally new management and we are raring to go and have it proper back at the best venue in Cheltenham! We will be bringing you the finest filthiest house music from start to finish, served up to you on a platter of the fattest soundsystem in Cheltenham which we will be specially be bringing in for this event! This party is going to be truly special and to mark not only the unwavering support but also the supreme talent of our residents, we are dedicating this night to them.
Firstly, we welcome DJ Skotrox to warm up the night – although not a resident Skotrox is a firm favourite with the Break Out crew since he played a surprise birthday set for Break Out back in November. Next up is Bruce Almighty - we are always impressed with his excellent mixing and ability to read the crowd and get them rocking be it playing breaks, house or mashing up the genres! Chris Hughes, is a Break Out favourite and his knack of sourcing tunes that no one else has till months later, combined with impeccable mixing have seen him play regularly around the South West and build up a strong following. Recently Chris & Bruce have been smashing it with gusto at our twisted little sister event Broken. Next up is the unstoppable party girl Lizzie Curious, who is already making waves for herself of a tidal proportion in 2007 with a very busy diary, including headlining events such as Elektrophonik, Prehab @ Turnmills & Electronic Sessions in London (where she has also just earned herself a residency)! But to make things extra special Lizzie will be singing a Live Vocal PA alongside her DJ set – not to be missed. Finally I will be stepping up behind the wheels of steel to bring the party to an uplifting finish with the very finest twisted house.
Upstairs at Bohemia has been transformed into a sumptuous chillout lounge with loads of comfy sofas, shisa pipes to smoke and laid back funky breaks and beats to chill to.
And last but by no means least we couldn’t forget YOU – the party people that make Break Out what it is. Your friendly faces, dancing feet, up-for-it party attitude and insatiable appetite for only the finest filthiest house music make Break Out really electro-fying! And of course, it wouldn’t be a Break Out without an opportunity to dress up, so if that floats your boat our theme for this event is….. *adopts evil laugh* Twisted Doctors & Nurses! Our Xmas event (which saw legendary house act Kklass headlining) was full to capacity by midnight, so please arrive early to ensure entry.
