I know what you're saying Chris and my comments weren't a criticism as such....just the way I feel about the chesterfield scene...It nothing for people like me...for all the good intentions of people like you, there is money to be made and nothing but sheep in Chesterfield who don't have the ability to understand anything different can exist, much less actually give it a go.

Still...i'm hopeful that one day it'll all change! ;)

If it changes and an event, wherever it is, can be packed for Hard Dance I`ll be over the moon but sadly to say I`ll be totally gobsmacked, and I hate saying that as it`s my music too. If you`ve noticed the changes in this town over 2 years whereby Tuesdays and Sundays have died totally, Thursdays were hit by the most disgustingly irresponsible drinks price war and have never recovered, independent venue owners cannot afford to put on unsupported nights, when so much of the trade is missing on 3 nights a week that were there 2 years ago.
The sheep will always be sheep with very few exceptions, more saddening is the self proclaimed clubbers who we thought after what they said would support a Saturday hard dance session 12-3 but still had to herd with the others, leaving a very different customer base late on on a Saturday.

So that`s that in a nutshell, like I say, good luck to ALL events in town, it needs them badly, and here`s to success in 2008 for all, and like I say, we`ll not apologise for what we do given the nature of support in town, and if anyone can do better, good luck to ya!

2008 will bring more and better things I feel. Blu-Sky will continue at Madisons, Chris will be shaking his thing at TP, DLF will be doing more events @ Escapades and probably most interesting Marsden Street will fly the flag for the stuff not heard anywhere else. It takes time to change things but change they ineivitably will

Hey again, sorry to butt in! Is Erotica near anything in particular thats like a landmark, like I Said, im being dropped off so early and ive never been around Chesterfield on my own! Is it near any major pubs or anything?

Just ask anyone in town and you'll find it easily enough...you basically need to head towards the football ground from the town centre ;)

Just thought id do a shameless *cough* plug for Overboard here as well, weve been around for the longest now, going strength to strength with lineups and production etc, been a while since the last event (April, Courtyard) but as the fellow promoters on here will understand, suitable willing venues are few and far between in Chesterfield, hence the absence, however, onwards and upwards, we are diversifying the lineups to come incorporating more Trance, Hardstyle and Hard House to the majority share that hardcore holds at our nights. I believe that we have probably one of the best selections of lighting and sound equipment to hand, and who knows, maybe a few collaborations with other chesterfield promoters could be on the cards in the not so distant future, so hey, watch this space and see you all on the 14th of December down @ the Slug for a real stomper, peace ;)
